Delayed at the airport.

The group in front of me at the counter spent 30mins asking the gate agent to get them seats by each other. Uhhh hello flights are cancelled or delayed everywhere, just be happy you're all on the same flight! Non business travelers at airports really annoy me. They just get in my way.

Of course I was driving at or below the speed limit while maintaining a proper following distance, using my turn signals, and not accelerating rapidly or making any unsafe lane changes, as always. :ugh2:

 uhmmm, why does she do that?!

I drive my hubby crazy to, go this way or do you see that car-he's trying to turn IN..lol!

Being a business traveler, I'm annoyed by almost everything vacationers do at the airport.
  • They take too long to check in
  • They hold up the line at security
  • They're lost in the terminal
  • They stand in front of the Departures/Arrivals board like zombies
  • They crowd around the gate, blocking the way onto the jetbridge while staring at their Zone 6 ticket
  • They bring bags onto the plane that clearly won't fit under the seat or in the overhead (plus they know nothing about different kinds of planes with regards to what's gonna fit)
  • They always "have to" get somewhere and it's the end of the world when there's a delay (for me, a delay means another round at the bar!)
I think "Up In The Air" should be required viewing for anyone who is getting on a plane. In fact, I'm going to contact the FAA, the TSA and anyone else who can help make this into a law. Who's with me?

:rofl2: I have been flying alone about 5-6 times per year since I was 12 so I know exactly what you're talking about. People come to an airport and go :eekdance: :koolaidwall: :eekdance:

100% agree. March spring breakers were a real test of my patience last month. I also dont understand how some of these people end up in the priority access tsa line.....they back it up to the point where I wouldve been better off going to the general boarding.

Also dont forget about exiting the plane. Business travelers are methodical, we get up grab our jackets and bag and walk off. Vacationers seem to forget where their bags are and where the exit is. After a long week and delayed flight, the last thing I want to do is wait longer on a tiny plane bc of their incompetence.

Dont even get me started on planes where you have to gate check/valet your bag....

Just remember the left lane rule......see a business traveler coming (you know the people that walk through the airport with a clear purpose) ask yourself.....am I in the way? If no....then great, carry on. If yes, then move the heck over!

JARblue 04-19-2013 01:46 PM

I travel like I drive: I know where I'm going - I'll get out of your way if you stay out of mine.

I walk in a zig zag.

Makes it so people can't catch me, I'm constantly changing direction. :happydance:

:iagree: Usually at airports I'm the guy walking faster than most.

My biggest annoyance is the people who are in the middle walking, walking, walking.....

STOP, look around, look around, look around :shakes head:.

b15 04-19-2013 01:55 PM

Yeah for sure. Snow, flood, sinkholes, then you have the Boston and Texas incidents.....its like its the end of the world....

And if so.....cheers from the bar at the Columbus airport!:D

I like that attitude. Regardless of vacation or business, delay at the airport equals another round

Yes, get off the racing line for godsakes!

Oh, right... another one for my list.
The people who stand on the "walk" side of the conveyor.

I only keep the recycle one in the garage. The trash one tends to stink, so it stays on the side of the house by the condensing unit. Although I would be surprised if your HOA doesn't even allow it outside you house...

yah, im forced to keep both in the garage.

i use garbage bags in layers and tie them up while trash adds up so the smell isn't too bad. like for stuff that could smell (meats, veggie peel) my wife and i place them in those clear plastic bags they have at the produce and meat sections at the super market and tie them up. then put them in the grocery store bags, then tie them up..then into the garbage bag. it keeps my garbage bins clean too.

i hate folks that toss banana peel directly into trash bins. :ugh2:

kenchan 04-19-2013 03:31 PM
