:hello:

Went out to the R/C track last night.

I think I've made the decision to get back into it. I'm going to research everything this week and make my final decision.

Had some golf lessons this morning (nice and warm out, I'm drained ) and am working towards fixing my slice. Made HUGE progress today! Tourney next weekend!

I also almost got pulled over, and I blame the SRM for getting the cops attention. It's habit to throw it into neutral to be quiet and coast, but noooo. SRM said, "5k rev match. GO!"

Just paced the cop and he gave me the Mutumbo finger wag that I posted about on FB. I couldn't help but smile and laugh after that. That's the one thing I don't like about SRM. I'll just have to learn to not throw it in neutral... in the end, it's my fault.

Fire 04-27-2013 04:22 PM

Suuure blame the car. :shakes head:

Fire 04-27-2013 04:27 PM

Stopped by a friends house who was working to get his car done for a local dirt track. Absolutely no urge to jump in and work on it. I was driving my ZL1 so that probably made it easier. :driving:

If youre in neutral the SRM wouldn't blip it.....unless you had the shifter near one of the gate sensors. I do this all the time too and never have issues with a blip unless I slightly lean the shifter towards a gate.

Fire 04-27-2013 04:49 PM

The jack stands come in a kit. Jack, stands, wheel chocks, creeper and jack.

If I'm in gear and put it in neutral it will always blip. If I hit a gate, it will blip again.

I have to turn SRM off to get no throttle blip.

Fire 04-27-2013 04:54 PM

If he ain't got pics he didn't do it. :drama::bs::worthless:

I like the flat steel on the bottom of them.

Keeps them from sinking into the asphalt.

Jar did all the work lol. I kept asking what I could do. He let me sand some good pieces, clean them off, and lay down paper. :icon17:

Fire 04-27-2013 05:34 PM

Don't give Jar all the credit his head won't fit in the forum. :ugh2: :stirthepot:

This.

thanks for the spot putty link, mr. happy. :icon17:

i took out my G a couple more times pm. had a good time. :) my Z's cooled down so i check oil level, etc. everything looks good.

also wired up a switch with led on my fit to turn my drl on/off. i hate drl, but on drizzly days, i would turn that on instead of headlights so i dont dim my hu. :)

plus, sometimes im idling at night in a parking lot waiting for someone, and the DRL doesnt turn off until i shut down. which imo is dumb. so now, i can shut it off manually without killing the engine. :D

I was a victim of a racially motivated incident today -- almost a hate crime.

As I was running around in my 240Z, taking care of my Saturday errands, I had to stop by my dry cleaners with some shirts (Yes, I do not do my own shirts).

As I neared the door, this kid approached me as he was jingling some change in his hand. He was maybe about 15 or 16 and I thought he was panhandling at first, but then he asks me if I would go to the tobacco store next door and buy him some Newports.

I told him I couldn't do that and he asked again. I then told him that it was illegal and I was not interested n breaking the law today. He then said that he was getting them for his sister who was just around the corner. The answer is still no, I replied and kept heading to the dry cleaner. He asked one more time and I told him that he can buy all he wants when he turns 18.

Get this -- he said he was 18 so I just laughed and said "whatever, have a good day".

As I entered the cleaners, he yelled, quite loudly, "White-azz Cracker!!!"

When I looked it up in my Urban Dictionary application, it turns out that it was an insult to my race. Unbelievable. I feel hurt. Very hurt.

Fire 04-27-2013 06:35 PM

LOL we are the largest minority. However, we have no protection. I guess that is why they wanted us to learn Eubonics. They wanted us to be more mainstream.

Interesting. Mine has never done that. It does slightly jump the RPMs a couple hundred which is normal but its definitely not an SRM blip.

if you have DRL on any other car... next time you are driving and are parked.. try pulling your ebrake up.. most cars with DRL have a small switch built in the ebrake.. you just pull it up a tad, not enough to activate the brake, but it turns DRLs off...

yah, i wish that was the case, but it doesnt work that way on my fit. it's once i disengage the e-brake, regardless of ebrake engaged or not, the DRL does not turn off until i shut down. :shakes head:

plus, my car is MT so i need e-brake while the engine is running and im watching dvd or something for longer than 5min or so. :D

to be anatomically correct... however, not all of them do have nipples.. which is weird lol :bowrofl::bowrofl: :bowrofl:

but that would be like... if they put wieners on dude mannequins... lol

yah. if the color of the lamp was more white (like piaa's or something) i wouldn't mind DRL, but my car runs H4's which is like dual filament one that does both low and high beams. :shakes head: most people report 7-8months and aftermarket bulbs burn out. :ugh2:

so i decided just keep the stock bulbs and turn off DRL as much as possible.
