Not yet, still need to buy the putty and fix the 3rd piece before painting. Should be able to do that tomorrow and then paint shortly after. Hoping for install this coming weekend.

mr.jar - excellent! that is one of my favorite tools in my arsenal.

also great for cleaning blades. like after cutting tape with your scissors or vinyl you get that gunk on the tip of the blade. a quick with with that stuff on a paper towel...

When I played golf on Friday, I actually unwrapped the plastic and removed price tags from a lob wedge that I purchased for myself in Dec 2011 (that tells you how long it's been since I last played). This weekend I tried to remove the gunk from the stickers that were on the shaft, but the stuff I have just wasn't getting it done. I'll try this stuff on it

I can't wait until I get new clubs!

Summer is going to be testing each brand/style, then Xmas my parents are going to be buying me a new set.

Yep, still a spoiled, only child 'til this day!

that is actually a great idea!

only downside i know of is that it stinks, and the rag could suddenly burst into flames on a hot day. so i usually douce such rags with water, then seal them up in plastic bags before disposal.

I keep my rags until they're absolutely destroyed I have a shed out back that gets pretty hot, but keeps them out of direct sunlight. I've never really been too worried. Gasoline is notoriously difficult to light without precise AFR. I've been doing it in the Texas summer for a few years now, and my father did the same most of his lifetime without any problems.

If you're preparing them for disposal, there's absolutely no harm in dousing them in some water I store the ones to be reused in a metal bucket in the shed. Yes, they smell, but so do the lawn mover, weed eater, gas cans, and paint supplies
