All kidding aside, she sounds like the perfect girlfriend. Never around (working all the time and out with fiends), leaving you to do whatever you want (Moding your 370Z). She is probably the type of chick that will satisfy you and herself, then leave you alone so she can shop for shoes and purses. It's a dream come true! Seriously!

I've dated two nurses in the past and never had an issue with their schedules. As someone else stated they typically work 3-12s and whatever overtime comes along so they can have plenty of time off. She does seem busy but I wouldn't hold my breathe for her though.

Haha yea we only hung out twice and she bailed several times afterward. Not sure why she keeps planning and bailing and apologizing so much. She mentioned Friday that we should have dinner this week. I didn't answer. Just told her whenever she is not so busy and cut the conversation short. That's it... I'll leave her alone from there so I can find more productive things to do.

That is pretty annoying.

Either, (1) she's somewhat interested but there's someone else in the background, so it's "complicated" and she's flirting but not (for now) budging, or (2) she's just too timid to flatly say "not interested in anything, so we have no reason to stay in touch".

The first option s distracting and frustrating; the second is disappointing and depressing... both suck

Agree to dinner and then ditch her to go do something else. Gotta play the game a little. Telling her whenever she's not busy is saying you're available all the time. It's up to you though. Just my two cents on what's worked for me.

So, I just met this girl. Who's a nurse

Anyway, we got to talking and I'm about to make plans with her. She already said yes to hanging out and I told her I'd give her a call about setting something up. She lives in NYC and has probably seen it all, so my dilemma now is finding good ideas for a first date. I can't think of anything that's not cheesy.

Maybe I should just keep it simple. Coffee and Central Park maybe? Ahhhh! Amazing how the simplest things can drive you nuts.
