Default Renault, Fiat-Chrysler merger

As you're all probably aware, Renault, Nissan and Mitsubishi have been partners since about 1999. You may also be aware that the quality of the Nissan products declined after this partnership, most notably and recently with the issues with the CVT in many models.

Almost everyone knows the steaming pile of rubbish known as Fiat-Chrysler in America today. We've seen engines blowing after 40k miles and countless automatic transmission issues.

My thought here today is that Nissan dodged a bullet with this merger falling through yesterday. The last thing Nissan wants is to have any further affiliation with sh***y manufacturers, imo.

Don't get me started on Chrysler.
We had a ram promaster as a work van. It was in the shop 1/3 of the time we owned, and we had it since it was brand new. Transmission issues, BCM issues, shift cable issues...

One time while it was in we had a (new) 300c as a loaner car. The day we got it the backup camera went out, and the day we returned it the exhaust tip fell off in a parking lot while we were backing up and we ran over it..

Top notch build quality...

I'm on my 2nd Ram truck and 6th Jeep. All have been great. I put over 130,000 miles on them before trading them in. I've had Fords, GM's, Nissan's. The Ford's and GM's have been headaches from day one. My Hardbody was a great little truck until it rusted out in 10 years and 130,000 miles.
