well that wasn't as bad as I though it was going to be... quite informative actually considering I did not realize that I needed to set my manual torque wrench down to lowest torque after use - it's been set at 85 since the last time I used it over a month ago :ugh2: any thoughts on its affect on the calibration in that time period?

Exactly. There was nothing wrong with that thread...

Geez Jar, don't you have 27 years of automotive experience? ;)

Not only have I done nothing with my Z today, I've done almost nothing with myself and it's freakin' awesome!
I'm just now having some Doritos and a Hopslam for breakfast/lunch/dinner after taking one of those showers where I let the hot water run over my body but didn't actually wash anything.
Ahhh... day off.

I'm thinking about buying a Miata!

As a daily driver. :)

At least it has sturdy doors.

mr.jar- yah, its spring loaded so it will probably give you false readings now.
Try testing it with another wrench to see how far off it is. :) I have redundant torque wrenches so I can compare one another. SnapOn does recalberation on mine.

Awesome :ugh2: The one I have is a Craftsman, so I'll probably just try to take it back to Sears and replace it. I've got a buddy with one I can borrow if I need one soon

JARblue 02-18-2013 06:18 PM

Z got a wash, clay, and wax this afternoon. I even attacked some scratches by hand - they didn't come out completely but definitely look better. I think I can get them out completely with proper materials. I only used a polishing pad and Meguiar's Ultimate Compound, so I will use a compound pad and the rubbing compound first next time before following up with the polishing compound using a polishing pad (maybe borrow a friend's random orbital, too).

Once this is done I'm probably going to go back and repaint the bedrooms. I already did all the major plaster work ~5 years ago so there's not much to do to get it ready.

Well I think I'll take a couple of weekends off first.

Hmmm.
I think there's a spot on my sensor.
I tried cleaning my lens and that spot shows up no matter which lens I have on the camera.
