The shoulder hasn't come off yet so it is ok for now, have an appointment with the specialist on the 16th, he will do an assessment on it and we decide what's next, most likely I will ask for an MRI and see is it the cause of scar tissue or something else.

:tiphat:

sounds good that you're on the path to recovery, mr. alcheng.
hope the MRI shows what's wrong or remove all worries. :)

My frau has better comms with them though. She wraps good German and perfect Hungarian with them(owners son spent his summers in Hungary as his mother is from Budapest).

I try a bit o'English but can get by with my weak German skills. The dealer is good folks and it will be nice to have the Z ready for good driving season next week. Oil in and summer tires will be ON! Soon time to light up the Pilot Super Sports for some warp speed Autobahn funnnnnnnn :tiphat:

Wish all of you a super day today!!!

PS -----heading to Geneva this weekend for the Auto Salon(83rd International Motor Show, Palexpo, 7th to 17th March 2013. World premieres in car industry, international car exposition). My first time to hit this show. Im hoping to gather some data on the new GTI and the Alfa Romeo 4C. If you all want some data on something that you like let me know. We leave Sunday!

happy b-day DLSTR! enjoy your day. :D

I think with the pedal box, you'll trade initial pedal delay for maximum pedal earlier in the pedal stroke. For example, maximum output when the pedal is depressed 50%. I would have to do more reading/research to verify that.

Is that a scenario you would be satisfied with?

yah, when i received my big roll of dinoc in a usps shipping tube, it looked like the mail folks went to town playing darth vader vs luke with it. :shakes head:

it was a 4ft x 4ft sheet with about 50% wrinkled. i noted the vendor asking if they could at least give me like a 2ftx 4ft section, but they immediately sent me a full replacement.

thanks, mr.gale. i have a feeling this is not going to help in the latency issue we have with the throttle. why i say this is becuase with my music gear, latency is a problem when playing heavy software instruments like piano's off my MBP.

say for instance a particular sample buffer setting has a latency of 8ms. changing the velocity parameter (example: soft keystroke to trigger larger sound output) does NOT help compensate the latency problem while playing. the sound still plays late.. just louder.

Mr. Ken-San - Are you trying to get rid of that god-awful lurch in 1st that we experience off the line? I heard that an Uprev tune will take care of that.

Thoughts? Comments?

I went to the pedalbox website again and read more about the product... saw one of the chart they post and I have an idea on how does it work but I am not sure is it necessary for a street car.

( Click to show/hide )

Basically it's a module that allow the driver to adjust what's called... the "Throttle-Curve"

It alters the values between the actual-throttle-position and the ECU-throttle-position.

Therefore, when the gas pedal is 50% depress and ECU might thought it's at 60% or 70%.

By reading its diagram, the adjustment is most effective through the mid-range.

I am not sure how much it can improve/correct the problem that Mr.kenchan is experience since he is complaining the initial throttle-response.

Which...the pedalbox has the minimum effect on that position.

My opinion, this module is more suitable for track use since the driver can:

1) Adjust the throttle-response according to different track lay-out.

2) weather condition (dry/high traction surface more responsive vs wet/low traction less responsive)

On top of that, I am wondering the adjustment will lose its "effectiveness", not from the device itself, but the driver itself will get used to responsiveness of the throttle.

alcheng's conclusion: Save the $499.

hummmm... i dont have a lurch, the throttle response is slow and wanted to get rid of that.

did you replace your helper spring yet? that helps quite a bit on the take-off. i think LMB still sells them? :D

thanks, mr.alcheng. yah, it's really similar to how i compared it to my software piano latency. the initial latency is still there, how the throttle input quickly ramps up is just different. and so yah, not buying it. :D

HEY MY HU'S ALREADY ON THE WAY TO ME. NOT THAT I CAN INSTALL IT YET... I NEED TO WAIT FOR MY DINOC FIRST. DINOC. DINOC YOU KNOW, THAT CARBON FIBER LAMINATE? DINOC!!! YOU KNOW? DIAAAINOC!!!!!!! YAH, THAT THAT. YAH.

DEPENDING ON HOW WARM, YOU KNOW, TEMPERATURE, WARM NOT HOT HOT HOT, JUST WARM, THIS WEEKEND.. YOU KNOW, SAAAAATURDAY AND SUUUUNDAY, YA? I WILL DO THE NEW HEADUNIT INSTALL. HEADUNIT IS CAR STEREO. YES, CAAAAARRRR SSSSSSSTEEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRREEEEEEOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO O!!!!

IM GOING TO WIRE UP, YOU KNOW, HOOK IT UP... UMMM... LIKE INSTALL IT? YOU KNOW SCREW DRIVER AND TOOLS. YAH, TOOLS, NOT FOOLS LIKE YOU KIMOSABI, WAIT DO YOU LIKE SUSHI? YAH, SUSHI? YOU LIKE IT? YAH, YOU KNOW WAAASAAAAAAAAABI? YAH, THAT'S HOT!!!

SO ANYWAY, AFTER 4-5 YEARS OF USE, NONO NOT YOUR EARS, YYYYEAAAAAAAAAAAAARS, OF USE IF I SELL THE CAR, NEXT PERSON CAN USE THE BLUE TOOTH TO ANSWER CALLS. YOU KNOW PHONE CALLS.... PIRRRRRR,,,, PIRRRRRR,,,, HELLO? HELLO? YOU KNOW, PHONE CALLS. YAH... YOU CALL JAPAN? DO YOU SAY KONNNIICCHIIIWAAA? YAH? OH, YOU SAY MUSHI MUSHI? OH, MOSHI MOSHI? WHAT'S MOSHI MOSHI? WHAT? AHEM..ANYWAY....

SO MY OTHER QUESTION WAS, DOES ANYONE USE PEDAL BOX? YAH, YOU KNOW, GAS PEDAL? PUSH IT GO VROOOOOM VROOOOM? YOU KNOW ON YOUR CAR, YOU PUSH GAS PEDAL. YAH, ON THE 370Z, YOU GUYS CALL IT FAIR LADY, ANYWAY, YAH, 370Z, PEDAL YOU PUSH BUT NO IMMEDIATE VROOM.... IT TAKES LIKE A SPLIT SECOND. NO, NOT SPIT, DONT SPIT. SPLIT SECOND. YAH, YOU KNOW LIKE PUSH .....THEN VRRRRRRROOOOMM. YOU KNOW THAT DELAY. NO NOT ECHO. JUST DELAY. PEDALBOX FIXES THAT. SO YOU PUSH, AND INSTANT VROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!! YAH, THAT'S GOOOD.

WELL I FOUND OUT IT HOOKS UP TO THE PEDAL CABLE AND NOT THE OBD2 PORT. OBD2 PORT. NONO, NOT R2D2. NOT STARWARS. HEY, DO YOU KNOW RETURN OF THE JEDI? YAH, NO, THOSE ARE CALLED LITESAVER, NOT LIFESAVER LIKE CANDY. YAH, ANYWAY, SINCE I ALREADY HAVE A MODULE HOOOKED UP TO THE OBD2, I CANT USE IT FOR ANYTHING ELSE. SO THE PEDALBOX HOOKING UP TO THE GAS CABLE IS A GOOD THING.

YOU UNDERSTAND? YAH?

 lol! Did you say: i am Japanese. I AM NOT DEAF!!! (Whilst glaring in your mean face) ;)
