I didn't miss it, thats cool. Was it Nissan PR? Nissan manufacturing? I speak purely from manufacturing where the automobile company has a huge following with customers who mod the vehicles. Often times they offer these people special days, plant tours, photo-ops (much like this Nissan/Car and Driver thing going on), you get the picture. When it comes down to engineers actually caring... that isn't going to happen with your car or mine. GTM or Fast Intentions would have a much better chance at that (still wouldn't happen). But I'm not telling you anything you don't already know.

When you get your car into a tuner magazine and/or start ripping crazy times on a track, that's when the fun starts. Sponsorships, $$$, etc

that's exactly what I mean. I just thought it was cool that I got emails and a letter from nissan corp about my car.. and if all goes well while I am in guam, I should see some coverage in DSport.. which would be super awesome! cuz ill get you a free subscription LOL

:iagree: with what your saying but it also helps who you know!

Gale if you want coverage I know the guy that runs this Canadian car site/magazine that you might recognize if you go to the auto show or import fest.

AMF | Automotive Lifestyle Magazine – AutoMotoFoto.net

Anyway the guy has also done work for some other magazines like PAS and Import Tuner

Ooooh still in the wheel market?? You should get those PF01's! I'd love a set for the track, but I want them in black.

Well it seems like it, I see several people buying your deadening mat, or at least reviewing it.

Yeah, I know that feeling as well.

XwChriswX 02-24-2013 01:25 AM

What lips are you looking at/thinking about?

I want to but I applied that $700 to debt. Also had to buy new rears last weekend. :o had he posted a week earlier, I'd have them.

 on the mat. Eager to get into the office and keep working.

I bought an evor lip. I'm hoping its as thin as it looks in a members picture album but other members seem to have a thicker one. :ugh:

Compare Skorch's to FlawlessZ's.

Well that's better than a mod anyways. No use spending more money when you already owe it :icon17:

Is your mat only for sound quality improvement, or nvh reduction or both?

The 3 piece or the 1 piece?

Just like any other mat, it's primary use is for resonance dampening. Will it make the ride quiet? Yes but not in the big dramatic fashion everyone thinks it will. On average, 10sq ft of the 50MIL will reduce 3 decibels on idle and 1-2 at highway speed. The mat also acts a heat barrier but since the pro and ultra are asphalt based, we don't recommend use in the engine bay or around the exhaust. The butyl is still.undergoing testing for this.

I'm not worried about the engine bay or Volume reduction, as I like the sound. I'm just trying to keep out the harmonic vibrations that cause rattles and such as the rattles are extremely hard to work out.. lol

CF or FRP?

Frp. Cf isn't really my thing for exterior.

Gonna color match the whole thing, or black out the center like your fangs?

Really? I think white is one of the colors the CF looks really good with personally...

Red/White/Blue

Red/White/Blue

Not sure yet. Was originally planning to keep it all flat black. We'll see.

I'm off to bed. :hello:

I used to know the guys... I had one of my old cars in PAS and a trade magazine back when I was competing heavy in IASCA SQ, and several customer vehicles in PAS and a few other magazines, but I've been out of the loop for a while. I used to have full sponsorship for all my audio stuff and paid lodging when I went to shows. Good times

This car isn't show/magazine worthy. It's too generic. For a mag spot I would need to choose a path race or show and get building.
