exciting night... I am on call to pick up drunk military folks, to prevent DUI's... first call came in at 120am 3 drunks... second one, was a good call tho, 2 military cops vehicle broke down, and it's currently -14° outside... anyway, dudes radiator hose blew, and they are 10 miles from base, 10 miles from home.. and no heat in their now broke down vehicle..

when I picked them up, the senior of the two told me he couldn't feel his feet...
I am glad they called

ty ty! made me smile when I was about to drop the two youngsters off, and they thanked me and told me they could feel their feet...

maybe I didn't really save their lives, maybe I did.. but either way, they made it home safe for christmas, and I helped, and it made me feel good

Dude, guys like you are life savers. We used to get together and find the guy who was the DD backup and give him like gift certificates to applebees and sh1t along with a card. Srsly thats awesome to hear you are doing

that's is horrible news... not only for the men who lost their lives, and their families, but it's one more nail in the coffin on a string of fire arms bannings, and constitutional rights revocations that's bound to happen

Thanks man, wife was kinda upset that I volunteered for operation safe ride, till I actually had to pick people up.. put a smile on her face

so saving lives, and getting love from the wife! F yEA! lol

and that's cool man... the two SP's wanted to know my commanders name so they could tell him.. I felt pretty honored...

Man its just a really awesome thing. There was one time our DD got smashed and disappeared on us. So we were stuck at the club. Luckily one of our guys pulled out his get out of jail free card which has the phone number of the safe ride guys.

The thing is, it saves careers, money, lives. It is just awesome. Thank you for doing it yesterday!

on a happy note! finally got the wife her wedding band...
she never wanted one, and when we did look previously, she couldn't find one that matched her engagement band.. well, we finally found one while christmas shopping for the fam.. so I slipped it in her stocking without her knowing
