Too much sidewayz was the problem. As I was coming out of the curve, I punched it a bit too hard trying to catch a gap in traffic and wound up about 60 degrees out with my rear bumper probably about a foot from the concrete barricade - not fun. Luckily, I didn't look like a complete idiot, as I straightened out and regained traction in a quick, controlled maneuver.

Thankfully, the wife was not beside me. She would have flipped. And probably instructed me to drive straight to the tire place
I'm heading to Discount Tire now to see if I can't get them to order what I need - though I still haven't decided.
