370Z Model Kits

cool site! I have a z collection at home that i can add some of these to. Just curious though, how would you do bodykits and such. Or are you just saying you can match them paint wise.

I could do the aftermarket stuff. I can scratch build.

That would take quite some time though as it is not easy.

scratch build, so you would use some type a plastic shaping compound or something?

Just depends. Either make a mold out of some sort of putty and then make the part with resin, or try to shape it out of sheet plastic or something similar. More than likely, it would be trying to mold the part, if I couldn't find it already premade somewhere else.

When 3d printing becomes more mainstream it's going to be revolutionary for model builders.

I want two! I need two custom kits though, Amuse, and Zele. That will probably cost alot of labor though. If I were you I would make molds because they are such popular kits.

You should invest in a desktop printer. Although you'd need 3D files for all the parts you'd want to print...
