Palmetto State Armory (PSA) or you can build a piston AR with an Adams Arms kit.

I'm doing the latter

PSA hasn't had them for weeks, and I don't like piston AR's.

Oh well... I do. But i'm interested in
a. eventually running suppressed
b. Don't like the idea that cleaning is IMPERATIVE after use.
c. Don't like heat on the bolt. (don't care what DI fanboys claim either) Heat= increased wear on a vital component
d. During these times, getting an M4 build operational takes some compromises
e. Running the Right length piston system can keep a gun fairly balanced.
f. Don't believe the hype. Magpul fore-end handguard help increase balance and cut heat from the front.
g. Carrier tilt? BS and ancient. Dont get me started.

a. eventually running suppressed I run suppressed almost all the time except high-volume training.
b. Don't like the idea that cleaning is IMPERATIVE after use. Who said it was? Last time I shot "a lot" it was 1600-1700 rounds during a 3-day course. I didn't do anything, just lubed it on day 1 before the course began. I cleaned it a few weeks later at home. NO lube, no wipe-downs, nothing during the course over 3 days. Ran great.
c. Don't like heat on the bolt. (don't care what DI fanboys claim either) Heat= increased wear on a vital component The bolt gets to about 10-20*F hotter in a DI gun than a piston gun after about a dozen mag-dumps (around 130*F total temp). I really don't think it's a problem. The real issue is that the gas-block in a piston gun gets hot. Very hot. As in twice as hot as on a DI AR (about 600*F compared to about 300*F). It's almost like having a suppressor under the rail. You shoot it enough and you are going to need some gloves, really awesome rail overs, to move your hand, etc. God forbid the weapon should graze your leg when you sling it. Also, if you are running a light, which you need on an HD carbine, chances are the body will be next to the gas-block, and batteries don't like heat. Sure would suck if they ruptured.
d. During these times, getting an M4 build operational takes some compromises Very true, or time. One of the two.
e. Running the Right length piston system can keep a gun fairly balanced. Has a lot to do with rail, stock, etc.
f. Don't believe the hype. Magpul fore-end handguard help increase balance and cut heat from the front. No comment, it's a personal opinion. The barrel-nut is the main thing that pulls heat out of the throat area.
g. Carrier tilt? BS and ancient. Dont get me started. That's not my issue, HK seems to have fixed it. I didn't buy a 416 because I didn't want to deal with a ton of proprietary parts and a gun that was over-gassed when suppressed. I did not see any adjustable gas-system 416's when I bought my SBR. I have heard they exist, in which case, I might consider one, but don't think it offers anything better than what I run now, just another flavor.
My .02 and experiences on it.

Piston guns are fine. The design is a good solution to a problem that really doesn't exist, but they're a completely viable weapon system. A friend of mine actually created a line of piston guns (Huldra). I've spent a lot of time talking with him and his technical director (who is also my primary instructor). I still don't own one even though I could get one at cost any time I want. OTOH, he has a new sister line of DI guns coming out (Korstog .. http://www.facebook.com/korstogarms?ref=ts&fref=ts )

Unless he's making his own parts 100% in-house, horrible time to come out with a new AR. That said, if he can actually get the parts to build them, I bet they sell!
