![]() ![]() i shot 800 rounds of FMJ through it with probably < 5 Failure to Eject. yesterday i tried some Federal JHPs and didnt even get through a box of 50. The slide jams up and I cant even rack it as you can see in this pic the slide lock isnt engaged but the slide is stuck' called customer service and they gave me a fedex overnight shipping label for it...and since it's going to be back at springfield i figured i'll do some mods too. -checker front strap -front strap undercut -new target sights with tritium -3 lb trigger pull ![]() |

Ack! That's a total bummer. From what I know that is the deal with 1911s...they can be a bit fickle and you have to have some gunsmithing interest and ability to maintain them. Which I don't think is a bad thing at all. That is really the reason I will always recommend a Glock to new or casual gun owners. No doubt there is a 1911 in my future. I am eyeing the Volkmann Precision pistols myself. I am sure that Springfield will get that baby working smoothly.
