ANYONE RUNNING LANCER AWM 5.56?
I'm running these amazing mags in my new palmetto state armory PA-15. but they'll only seat with 29 rounds, not 30. Anyone having this issue? |

The lips may need to be adjusted. Check spring pressure (if it's just a little tight, the palm bump above should work). |

How would I adjust the feed lips? |

It's a hybrid Mag. Ceramic polymer with infused steel lips and I found the error. It was in my round count oops. But not really my fault. I bought 100 rounds of custom 5.56. OK so I loaded the mags. To make sure I wasn't jerked. I counted the rounds left over. Should have been 40. There was 42. So I assumed the error was in my Mag load. I added the extra rounds to the mags and tried to load. Well last night I decided to unload two of my mags and do a round count. The guy I bought the rounds from gave me 102 rounds instead of 100. So the error was the amount of rounds I had, not the Mag. Lol Oh well. Lol Let's talk Mag biz for a second. There's a lot of products that claim to be game changers but these lancer L5 AWM mags make Magpul seem like ancient history. The strength and durability of these mags rival steel mags at a third more weight. Check them out guys. |
Looks like a nice mag. Too bad I won't be buying any of them. Already got 20 mags from Magpul.

I have both and use them for different purposes and neither have malfunctioned on me. I use Pmags for 5.56 and Lancers for 300BLK. Lancers are more 300BLK friendly due to their ability to hold rounds with longer OAL. Some 300BLK loads can be slightly longer than 5.56 thus causing feed issues in Pmags. For me using 2 different mags for 5.56 and 300BLK is a good way of keeping them separate while at the range because it is possible under the right conditions to fire a 300BLK in a 5.56. If you have 40 minutes to burn I would suggest watching Nutnfancy's AR mag review vid. I trust his opinion more than other online reviews because his data tends to be more real world than other "Tacticool" reviewers. |

I did burn through nutnfancy review of mags. He's for the most part fairly impartial and on my top list of gun reviews. I think Mr.Guns n gear is very good too. Like I said.... Magpul are excellent. The L5 AWM construction and weight is phenomenal. I know Magpul are the most widely used as Glock is the most widely owned. But sometimes you just find a product that just so happens to be better. Even if ever so slightly? |
So my Kid wants to build a AR-15 5.56 and start with a plain lower.
I have never done one, so it sounds like a learning experience. I have owned an original colt for 20 years. Not a single gun shop near me has one. :( |
