Well I bent the truth a little. I'm a little bit of a Glock guy.
I have a G20. 10mm :yum:

I was on the waiting list for the Dornaus (?) & Dixon 10mm (the one Don Johnson used in Miami Vice) but got my money back when they decided not to mass produce them. BOOOO.... :p

IIRC, the only difference between the .40 & 10mm is that the 10 is a longer case, which in theory, would give it a little more muzzle velocity... TBH, I'm too lazy to look it up

You are correct. Much more muzzle velocity.

BoneZ 03-30-2016 03:28 PM

...provided you get a full power 10mm load.

Take a look at the G40. The last time I check Glock was the only company making an affordable 10mm. The G40 has a longer slide than the G20 which will help with recoil and the G40 comes standard with that optics mount that Glock is now putting on some of their long slide pistols.

Yep. The 10mm OAL is similar to the 45ACP where as the 40S&W OAL is similar to the 9mm. But, remember the 10mm was first. The FBI wanted a lower power 10mm. S&W answer the call with the 40 S&W.

Booooo

When the 10mm first came out. I was going to get a Colt Delta Elite. But things happen and I didn't get it. :( Still want one.

:iagree:

My back woods load is Buffalo Bore's 220grn hard cast flat nose load @ 1200fps. :icon14:

BoneZ 03-30-2016 03:53 PM

I just want a .500 S&W Magnum for my CCW.

No kidding. The 40S&W is why a lot of the 10mm loads are underpowered. 10mm owners wanting 40S&W recoil. :shakes head:
