Who here owns a P226 Mk25?

P229 here, what do you need for your P226?

Need? LOL. All want. I have lots of 9mm. This looks to be one of the best made for the money. I want to verify this in my hands. I want to test and compare with my Glock. I like the longer 4.4" barrel on this version.

Okay. I got my P229 in 40, then bought the 357 SIG barrel for it. I like the P226, I may still grab one, if I can find one reasonable. :tup:

I want it in 9mm . And definitely a newer mark 25. I could only find 1 at the gun show last weekend. It was at least 30 years old and not the one I wanted. Same with a Benelli M4, I could not find even one of those. Lots of over priced ammo. I did get some 8mm from 1953 for a reasonable price. And had a chance to finally shoot the WWI mauser.

I wouldn't want to either fire that rifle or get hit by the projectile. With that kind of terminal energy, it will obliterate whatever it hits. :eek::eek:

No chit! The rifle would need be mounted to something substantial and fired remotely lol.

According to what I've read, it's built off of a 20mm Vulcan round, but I thought the Vulcan fired a 30mm round. Either way... holy chit....

It weighs 1,690 gr. Speed is over 3,300 fps. Energy over 42,000 ft lbs. Stays sonic out to 5,400 yards. Bet it's fired from a fixed mount. Ain't no should holding up to that.

Wonder what it costs to reload?

I just looked for Monolithic Munitions. They apparently are no longer in the ammo business. They shut down their ammo manufacturing at the end of 2016.
