Nice H&K's!

Here's what I'm gonna shoot for its first time tomorrow...

(and, I'll probably shoot the Glock too)

So I went to my local gun shop today and tossed a down payment on a new colt AR 15. I looked them up on gun broker and they were a bit cheaper there and some more so I thought they were in the right range (high 900s) with what I was looking for (no scope). I cant wait to get it home in a few weeks and try it out. We go on vacation in 2 weeks so I didn't pay it off today as I know we need spending money:) Its just my 3rd gun and 1st rifle. Now I gotta buy a SW Governor for my wife, shes been wanting one for her! lol

I've kind of let my gun interest fade since I got the Z and the modding bug. But I still got a nice collection of handguns. I just thought I'd post up some of my Colt revolvers to mix things up in this thread

Colt Python, 6" Nickel finish. Definitely the "Cadillac" of the collection.

Colt MkIII Lawman (.357). Found this off gunbroker. Could definitely tell it was someone's carry weapon as the finish has lots of scratches and looks like it was dropped at least once :shakes head: But it does shoot great. A little too heavy to carry, but makes a nice nightstand weapon.

Many different "AR15s" on the market. Some good, some bad. They are absolutely not all created equal. $900 might be a good deal, might be a crappy deal. Depends almost entirely on what company made the rifle.

:yum:
There aren't a whole lot of revolvers I'd like to own, but that's probably the top one I would like to have.

Texas has rather restrictive gun laws compared to many other states. Seems to defy conventional beliefs, but I would MUCH rather have Minnesota's gun laws than Texas'.

its the colt 6920 magpul edition in tan. I went to gunbroker and saw they were only a bit cheaper. From what I have read and seen other than their store that's pretty decent and colt is a great company that holds its value much better than the other AR companies.

The Colt 6920, especially the Magpul edition IMHO, is an excellent choice for an AR15. Colt is certainly among the handful of top tier AR manufacturers. $900 is a very good deal for that rifle. Consider a red dot sight.

Edit: sorry, I didn't register the "Colt" part in your OP.

I have about 600 rounds through the VP9, mostly shooting it side-by-side with my PPQ. I like the VP9 just a little better than the PPQ, but not by much. Both are excellent handguns, probably best-in-class among striker-fired combat pistols. I already dumped the Glock 19, guess I can get rid of the M&P 9L too. Not sure what to do about the second PPQ.

Thanks for the quick review! :tiphat:

So after wondering what to get my wife for her birthday next week. I totally forgot she has been asking for a Smith and Wesson Governor forever and a day now. She likes the fact she can shoot the 410/.45/colt through the same gun. I thought this would be the perfect time to go buy it for her and called up the local gunshop today, they said they didn't have it in stock but one would be here this week. I said great, put it behind the desk I will be there Saturday morning to pick it up! Most girls might be like WTF, a gun really? But I think she will be super happy:) Some of the good things about marrying a girl who isn't a stuck on herself bitch! lol They may be '10s or whatever but their attitudes can kiss my ***, I don't have time for them. Ill post up pics when I get it and give it to her.

Nice!
Kimber 1911s are great pistols.
I had a Tatical Ultra II for a while but I gave it to my Dad.
It was a great gun but I didn't like the way it recoiled.

This has a aluminum frame so I'm a bit worried about the recoil. But it's a carry gun and wont be shot a lot (except to stay proficient) and hopefully never need to use it for its intended purpose.
