.380ACP is a compromise for sure. Can she not handle/is not willing to train with the 9mm?

If you must go .380, I recommend loading it with Corbon DPX.

the .22 S&W is like shooting a bb gun lol, extremely accurate though. I have a lot of fun shooting the Makarov, it's not the most accurate gun but it's really easy to take apart/clean and it's a reliable workhorse. Just sucks shopping for ammo for it cause you can't use 9mm, it has to be specific Makarov that's very slightly different than a standard 9mm.

I'm not a fan of the .380 per say... but the .380 serves a purpose for me.
The Bodyguard holds 6 +1, I carry +P Rounds.

I do carry bigger calibers but when its 105 degree outside the .380 is perfect. T-shirt and shorts and it doesn't print.

saying that...
.380 will make you just as dead as any round.
Its all about shot placement anyway. I will say you must practice at the range with your carry pistol. The small pistols can be difficult to be accurate with.

To me that's the biggest concern about a small gun. Not the caliber size but the accuracy. These pocket guns have a long trigger pulls for safety making accuracy difficult. Also remember these guns are made for up close and personal defense. If things get crazy grab the AR ;)

Good Luck.

I have a little addiction to H&K. Here's the ones i've taken pics of. If you click on the pic and then click on it again when Flickr opens up, you'll get the high rez pic.

Yes, the .45c with Silencerco Oprey .45. It can go on my HK45, HK45c, or the USC/UMP conversion. Here's the full size HK45.

I've never fired a handgun with a can, only long guns. Can you fire it without hearing protection?

Edit:I've also been looking into a 45c and .380 bodyguard for coldweather/warm weather carry options. My full size 1911 is not very concealable without a jacket :(

The can is "hearing safe" but I still prefer little ear plugs.

The .22 Sparrow suppressor I fire without hearing protection.

For summer carry the ruger LCP fits in my cargo shorts.
