IDEA - What do you think?

A lot of people only think in 2 dimensions when developing an iPhone/Android app, but in reality these devices are much more capable when used in pair with a physical device. For instance, Square Inc. developed the portable credit card reader that plugs into smart phones via the headphone jack and allows users to accept payments.

Using this basic idea, who would be interested in a high quality tire-pressure gauge that plugs into a smartphone to use the screen as a display as well as add other cool functionality? This could be done for not much money.

Thought it was a cool idea and would see what the community thought.

Ya that would be cool what about maps/preset tunes to upload directly into your ecu via the ph through your obd 2 connection. Or maybe just to scan engine light codes on your ph.

Tunes would be awesome! My buddy has an app for his android phone that lets him check and clear engine light codes, not sure if something like that currently exists for iPhones but it would be awesome.

Definitely an interesting space to explore.
