Hmmm... on another note, why does that guy have 24k gold rims?

Being that gold is a pretty soft metal, I don't think that it would be the best thing to make wheels out of on a high-performance exotic...

I'm sure they are just plated. If they were solid each rim would be worth way more than the car.

They are just plated. It's not like the wheel is made out of it. That doesn't mean it won't show dents and scratches though.

He's probably full of crap on the 24k gold rims; probably didn't even plate them and just sprayed them with a can of Krylon.

Having sold many a can of spray-paint in another life its my professional opinion that every piece of "gold" in those pics is from a rattle-can.

Yeah... that honestly doesn't look like real gold at all, and plated or not that's a ton of weight and maintenance added to those wheels if it is real.
