Hanging issues def sounds like a graphics card driver issue or possibly a graphics card hardware issue. If the driver update doesn't work, I would try re-seating the graphics card.

Hanging issues def sounds like a graphics card driver issue or possibly a graphics card hardware issue. If the driver update doesn't work, I would try re-seating the graphics card. Make sure the contacts are clean. Last try would be swapping out the graphics card with the on-board if it has one or if you have a spare to see if that's the cause. Do all the software updates first though.
