yeah im pretty particular about what i eat
for instance i eat the same sushi twice a week as a routine... its called a nagasaki roll that is basically just cooked tuna tempura plain...... i like alot of stuff like that... i will eat alot of grilled salmon and stuff like that too but then other days there is a place near me that has a great beef brisket sandwich.. so really it varies what i eat as for favorite dish i have a lot but recently a few weeks ago for my Bday... i went to this place and had a great meal it was 4 big grilled sea scallops over like this cream corn bisque and had a balsamic glaze over them.... pretty bangin! Be very careful with Sushi. I used to eat it 3-4 days a week for a couple years. Then I had to have some bloodwork done and my mercury levels came back 3x that of a normal person.
High levels of mercury due to sushi is becoming a very common problem and there has been a direct link to mercury and Alzheimers / Parkinsons. It took me 6 months of detoxing and avoiding all sushi just to get my levels back to normal... Quote:

I don't know about being a foodie, but my friends call me fat boy because of my affinity for delectable cuisine.
What's the definition of a foodie?

Foodie is an informal term for a particular class of aficionado of food and drink. A foodie spends a keen amount of attention and energy on knowing the ingredients of food, the proper preparation of food, and finds great enjoyment in top-notch ingredients and exemplary preparation.
A foodie is not necessarily a food snob, only enjoying delicacies and/or food items difficult to obtain and/or expensive foods; though, that is a variety of foodie. I'm a foodie all around, even though some of my favourite foods, meals and restaurants would land me in the food snob category. I'm a devout follower of Anthony Bourdain and I find most of what Andrew Zimmern eats to be more exotic than bizarre. I've eaten at Nobu in NYC when Morimoto was still a chef there. I've never met a foie gras or sweetbread I didn't like. I love to cook, and quality ingredients are very important to me. One of my new favourite places is local to me; A gastropub called Brew 22. Last night they had a beer dinner sponsored by Sam Adams. The beer was the low point of the meal considering that Brew 22 is known for its ever changing list of 70+ craft beers on hand, but the pairings were good nonetheless. 1: Deconstructed Clam Chowder - Little neck clam cake, pork belly, potato-dill milk and sea salt. Boston Lager 2: Hand Piped Weisswurst Sausage with smoked sauerkraut and yam puree. Winter Lager 3: Wild Mushroom and Duck Tart with cranberry-ginger puree and smoked sage. Old Fezziweg Ale 4: Braised Beef Short Rib with blue cheese mashed potatoes, crispy onions and tobacco jus. Holiday Porter 5: Kitchen Doughnuts - Filled with eggnog creme, served with home made vanilla ice cream and coffee stout syrup. Black & Brew Stout If you're ever cruising through Harrisburg, PA make sure you stop at Brew 22 for a beer or something to eat. Sit at the bar and you just might run into me there!

I loooooooove food. Both eating and cooking. Some family recipes, some celebrity chef recipes, and dives and some fancy places.
Favorite dish is prolly chilli.....or shepherd's pie with venison.....or kobe beef short ribs....or port du salut with sauvignon blanc....or I DON:T KNOW THERE IS TOO MANY! But I will tell you this, I am a person who actually lashes out if I see someone putting ketchup on a hot dog. unless they are under the age of 17. and I think burgers should be unique with local ingredients. Like how in wisconsin every county has a brewery? And BEER. craft beer. nuff said. oh and bobby flay. and of morimoto is boss. I stay away from paula dean. |

food trucks have been pretty ridiculous around my area... and I'm pretty sure across the country. Was never into cupcakes but those are pretty hot right now too.
Lol I love talking about food like they are trends... My favorite of all time is La Fondue in Saratoga, CA... I almost wanna dip my **** in the cheese |
