I threw a couple items up on the storefront just for sh!TS and grins and people have actually bought some. I've sold the design I did of tanner Foust's fiesta for $10000 and 5 people have bought a manufacture sticker I did for rockstar energy drinks for $2000 credits. And 1 person downloaded another sticker I did for $1000 credits. So I threw the rest of my car designs up for $5000 and some other random stickers for around $1000 just to see what happens.

Zaggeron 10-26-2011 07:08 AM

Designs are typically pretty good sellers from the storefront. Makes sense to pop them up there if you're making them anyway..

I beat bobo's time with a clean lap, albeit with some driver assists. Go take it out!

Gave this a shot last night and my best "dirty" time so far is a 7:31. I end up barely sliding off the course and ruining my laps. :shakes head:

Why is the Radical so damn twitchy?!?!?

Zaggeron 10-26-2011 08:25 AM

^^ Does it come stock with an adjustable suspension like the dedicated racers?

Spikuh 10-26-2011 08:28 AM

I believe it only allows stock suspension setup and no tuning.

shadoquad 10-26-2011 09:17 AM

I'm trying for the "10 autocross laps without a cone" achievement.

So I got 8 of them last night before getting too tired to react anymore.

Zaggeron 10-26-2011 09:43 AM

They don't have to be consecutive laps do they? I figured I'd have that by the time I finished the season or event list since I just rewind if I hit a cone

Spikuh 10-26-2011 09:43 AM

I keep meaning to do that one. Will probably do it Saturday morning. :D

Each autoX session is only one lap.

And fark rewinding. I'm hardcore son, if I hit a cone, I restart the entire lap.

mrcoolguyface 10-26-2011 11:18 AM

No rewind button, manual with clutch, all assists off, simulation steering FTMFW!

Same assists settings here, but I'm not shy about rewind if some stupid AI runs me off the track -- I'm talking to you Rossi!.

AutoCross is you by yourself, though.

And yes, V.Rossi has a hardon for my body panels.

Yeah, the AI can be annoying. I don't know how many times I've been on the inside passing just to have the AI driver slam into my side as he turns in on his pre-programmed line :ugh2:

Rofl, dont use my time as the bar...my lap was seriously ****** 8P.

Radical is a ridiculously light car...that much power can easily make it get away from you...

My lap wasn't terrific, but I set it on the second lap, so that I'd have a full speed start. Meaning to catch it, you're gonna waste 8 minutes :bowrofl:

Isamu 10-26-2011 02:24 PM

will probably get this friday

Ran a quick lap when I got home and was able to drop 15 seconds off or so. I wish I actually had the 'ring memorized - I never had any GT game til GT5 and even then I didnt play the ring that much lol. Nor do I obsess over it on the tube of you's.

GaleForce 10-26-2011 06:46 PM

I just received it today for my birthday. I have been using the standard controller since Forza came out but noticed Microsoft has a U shaped wheel controller now. Anyone use it? Is it worth the money?

Zaggeron 10-26-2011 07:21 PM

I think that someone commented on it earlier in this thread. I'd imagine your arms might get tired since you hold it up to drive.

Frankly, without a actual mounted wheel, the regular controller is a pretty good option. The triggers work well for gas and brake -- much better than the PS3 controller works for GT5.

I use it, and I like it. Its not as good as my G27 is for iRacing, but it suffices since I dont have a cockpit downstairs.

But, fair warning: it doesnt have bumper buttons at ALL, and there are menu options that need it (like freaking tuning...). So, to tune, you need to literally exit the game, switch to your XBox controller, and then go back in. Tune, exit, switch to wheel, go back in.

I blame Microsoft for this dumb idea of not being able to use 2 controllers at the same time...

I haven't tried it but from what my friend says, it is slightly better than using the controller stick and like using Kinect only much more accurate. But based on my Kinect driving experience (admittedly, I have a small living room that's not ideal for it anyways), it doesn't take much to be more accurate than Kinect.

I have that problem with the MS wheel so I just pull the plug on the wheel and switch to the controller and vice-versa to change back. You should be able to switch between the two without exiting by just pulling the batteries out of one and powering up the other controller.

I completely agree. I honestly dont know why they didnt add a way to simply switch controllers (or at least make the game not require those buttons when the wheel is active...).

Zaggeron 10-26-2011 07:43 PM

Bobo, does it have an xbox guide button. If so, you don't event need to remove the batteries. Just hold the button until the menu to "turn off console: turn off controller" option comes up. The game works fine when switching controllers

Ive tried switching controllers multiple times by shutting it off that way. It simply doesnt recognize the other controller...

Zaggeron 10-26-2011 08:09 PM

^^ weird. I've used that method to switch between the wheel and controller to go through autovista mode ...

Mike 11-09-2011 06:04 PM

OK, someone 'splain something to me.

I just bought an XBOX and Forza tonight, no wheel yet. I've been playing with it, and on both easy and medium levels, its applying brakes on its own and even giving a little steering input on its own.

Specifically, its braking on me going into turn 10a at Road Atlanta coming down the hill, a little earlier than where I want to.

How can I turn the driving assistance off?

there is an option for driving assists. in the race menu, or in the main menu

Lemers 11-09-2011 06:13 PM

Was about to say ^

HKYStormFront 11-09-2011 06:55 PM

yup driving assists. think it's called auto brake

Mike 11-09-2011 08:11 PM

thanks, I'll have to look for it tomorrow. Cut myself off after 4 hours!

Mike 11-12-2011 09:47 PM

ok, after 7 16oz. Miller Lite's and a shot of Vodka, doing hot laps at Road Atlanta with a hand controller, I am officially 15 seconds slower in a stock Z than I am in my actual car.

Stock GTR is about even with my actual times of 142.

I would not attempt to drive the actual track at this state of beer intake ;)

shadoquad 11-13-2011 01:13 AM

I like the game, but I'm unhappy with Turn10. This is the last Forza I buy :(

Zaggeron 11-13-2011 09:33 AM

^^ What's your beef with Turn 10?

bigaudiofanat 11-13-2011 09:49 AM

Looks like I am finally going to have to buy a new Xbox "sold the last one" UGH I played this game last night as a demo at BB awesome!!!

Remember my suspended auction? Still tied up. They don't respond to my emails either. They've lost all my future business.

It's been over a month.

Zaggeron 11-13-2011 10:17 AM

Damn. That sucks. I didn't know that was still going on.

While I think the auction house is a good idea, I'm not a fan of the "Unicorn" cars as a game device. It forces them to care about the auctions. If there were cash cheaters but no Unicorns, who'd care?

They've tied up 4.6 million creds of mine because I mistakenly bid on a fraudulent auction. It has been "under review" for more than a month now. I emailed them about it weeks ago. No response.

No more forza series for me
