Raced around with the ALMS car pack last night, the 787B is batcrap crazy loud! Spliced together some replay clips, crank it up and enjoy!

$20 for the Porsche pack... hmmmm
Forza Motorsport 4 expansion pack adds 30 Porsches to your virtual garage |

Seems a little steep, but I'm a sucker for Porches and I'll likely pick it up when it becomes available. |
Yeah I have a PS3 and GT5 which is cool but it's asinine once you get in the later stages and you have to spend like 5+ hours to complete the stages.
I like playing but I don't like spending 1/2 my day on it plus there's no Porsche's! No stock real Porsche's anyway just modified 911's. Forza 4 seems really neat so I'll be getting an XBOX soon. Are those steering/shifting/ brake/ throttle kit things pretty realistic? I imagine it's better than the hand controller but I've never tried anything but. I wonder if people can actually learn how to drive manual like that... It would be pretty cool because you wouldn't have to worry about literally frying the clutch, etc.. I asked because there's someone I'd like to teach. I'm kinda weary about using my car to teach them... Maybe they can learn enough on the game using the shifter/clutch gimmick to be not so terrible in real life? |
I've got a Playseat Revolution and the Fanatec CSR wheel and CSR Elite pedals
Fanatec Forza Motorsport CSR wheel and Elite pedals review -- Engadget Boy is it fun. My setup has the clutch pedal and everything, but I'm not sure you could teach someone to drive a manual with it. Driving a manual is a lot about the relationship between the clutch and the gas when starting from 0 -- everyone learns pedal in - shift - pedal out (while in motion) pretty easily. It's the balancing of the throttle input to the release of the clutch while starting out that people who have never driven a manual have problems with. The feel of the clutch and throttle in the game doesn't really come close to simulating that. |
Kind of excited about this release! Check out this video showcasing my Voltron car pack designed solely by ME, designs were put on the big 5 sought after turbo and sports cars of the 90's! (Supra, Rx7 300ZX, 3000GT, and Acura NSX) Thoughts, feedback, and constructive criticism is greatly appreciated! Video created by brntguy of ALS!

Let me know. I played a little the first time in a long time and the only car packs that I didn't have were the preorder cars it wants me to buy.
|
Nobody here fans of voltron? Lol

April car pack is pretty lame
1959 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz Convertible 1972 Mercedes-Benz 300 SEL 6.3 1985 Mazda RX-7 GSL-SE 1995 BMW M5 1997 Volvo 850 R 2011 Mercedes-Benz #35 Black Falcon SLS AMG GT3 2011 Maserati Quattroporte Sport GT S 2011 Aston Martin #009 Aston Martin Racing AMR One 2012 Jaguar XKR-S 2012 Scion tC |
 They could of done better
|
I've found most of the packs this time to be quite lame -- haven't purchased any yet. They may be struggling to top the Forza 3 downloadable offerings -- all the stuff that came out as Forza 3 packs made it into the game at launch. I'll likely wait until the Porsche Pack/Update before I buy any DL content
|
They are waiting for everyone's download membership to run out before putting out good car packs.

I don't think I could disagree more lol the older iconic cars that have been included in the DLC this time around is definitely nice. A lot of cars that at the end of the day, you say "wonder why that wasn't in the game " and with the season pass its a win from every angle.

^^ To each his own, but .. c'mon .. a Pinto? At least they could have it explode when rammed from behind. :stirthepot:

Sure ... Why not. I got no problem with it being in the game, but I'm not likely to pay for one. I would really have no problem if all the DL content were available a la carte. That way I could pick and choose which I wanted, but there are always 1 or 2 cars that figure prominently in the Rivals section that you have to buy the whole pack to get.
Anyway, it's pretty subjective on whether you think the DL packs are worth it so it's not surprising we disagree on their value. :tiphat: |

At least they could have updated car packs with cars that just came out or were in production right now like the 2010 Boss and GT or the ZL1. Adding cars that they could have included in the original game makes me feel like they sold me an incomplete game with the idea of soaking more money out of me with these car packs.
|
What I really wish they did for the last season pass DLC was a track pack, bring back all the missing FM3 tracks like New York and the Bugatti circuit at Le Mans and add 1 or 2 new ones like Spa or even Mt Panorama since they've got the cars for it already.
|
2nd that. I would pay for more tracks in a heart beat!

new viper just leaked out as the presentation was done by Forza

Why giving up the wheel? You don't think they'll be anymore racing games for PS3 or Xbox you'd get?
|
I'm sure there will be a forza 5 sometime

i still got my DFGT for GT5 and am keeping the cockpit... i just dont play forza alot and yea the CSR is alot better for GT5 but i really dont play it as much either...so when i do i got my DFGT.... plus the real reason is i got all these carbon parts for my car coming and they are a little more than i thought lol.... so $300 would be better used towards that  |
