Who cares. It's just something to read- I use it to message people because it's easier doing it there than juggling a bunch of random email addresses that most of the people don't even check.

I only like to add real friends, not just random acquaintances. I might be too busy to hang out with these ppl, but we can still communicate. None of my friends do this update on every moment of my life thing, so I guess that's why I don't really hate fb. It has actually helped me reconnect with friends that went to different colleges after high school. Also helped me find some friends from my childhood who I actually went to hang out with in person. One more thing, it helps me stay In contact with family overseas. It's a much easier way to see pics and stuff than emailing back and forth.

Yeah like texting/phone call and/or email is SOOOooooo F-ing hard to deal with. Good luck when it's time to enter the real world where you have to talk to people in person face to face.
