If the federal Government shuts down, so does military pay

I doubt this would happen it would be political suicide. But if it did most military members would have the discipline to continue to go to work. Some will go

I doubt this would happen it would be political suicide. But if it did most military members would have the discipline to continue to go to work. Some will go AWOL and receive an Article 15 a few will push for a trial by court martial and loose. The real question is an extened period without pay when you start having problems with soldiers not paying bills.

They hand out article 15's like it's nothing anyways.

There will be massive long term effects too, since a lot of those companies would not survive, and won't be around afterwards.

currently at FOB Sharana...

Sucks being here but definitely worse being in BAF and KAF from what I was told and have been to BAF. that place is like the ghetto despite the Air Women

I was in FOB Ma'Sum Ghar and only got stuck in KAF for a few days in 2009. Other than the chance to grab a real coffee, use porcelain (you know what I mean) and take a shower, I prefered the FOB. Even the food was better in camp... lol
