It's certainly not in the kid's best interest and safety in mind. It's so he/she can look cool and be envied by everyone else. Lets face it, most of us got this car because we like the attention, myself including.

Thanks Mike, I do agree with what TJ and you are stating. I had my first car at 14 and was left in charge of gas and ensuring that maintenance schedule was being followed. I've earned my cars since and feels much better about it.
