Zagg (I like but looks like you have to moisten the screen protector quite a bit)
BodyGaurdz?

The screen is glass you don't need a protector.

The screen has a rated hardness of 9, and I can confirm that. I managed to drop mine a good ten feet onto steel and concrete. Don't ask me how, because its a pretty stupid story, but the face and back didn't have a scratch from that fall. That said, I would look at an antiglare, if anything, because the screen is rather shiny. I have an invisible shield for that, and it has a nice balance of anti-glare and sharpness retention.

Had my 4 for about 6 months and it's still perfect without a protector. All of the protectors look like sh*t and take away from the use of the phone imo.

you may be lucky you didnt get a scratch but the thing will shatter

Boss's iphone 4 front glass shattered falling off the desk (about2.5 feet? 3 feet?)

To the OP:

So get a good anti glare protector.
Then pick up an otterbox case

I use a Zaggskin on the front and back with a bumper, and I think it improved the front feel, though it doesn't look great around the edges (some bubbles), but the texture doesn't show when the phone is on.

I glued a Rivet clip to the back skin, so I can clip my phone with almost nothing extra holding it.
