Getting back into gaming

I am not looking to get serious again but just on the weekends play around with some games.

What are some big games for pc and is getting a ps3 worth it just for twisted metal and GTR? I would also use it for a BR player and just sell my old one.

Depends on what you like.
I like rts like Starcraft II for PC. but you can pick up a lot of fps like left 4 dead or Call of Duty.

PS3 are awesome because its blu-ray player and a video game system; for essentially the price of normal blu-ray player.

For computer I like FPS's for the console I like guitar hero and racing games flight simulators as well..

I stopped playing on PC after CS, Half-life & Unreal! Get a PS3!! Bluray is awesome.. Not to mention Sony exclusive titles such as Uncharted, Gran Turismo 5, God of War 3.. Plus move is looking really good! The only problem with the PS3 is YLOD (yellow light of death), which i got recently, but my unit was one of the original 60gb ones. Its the same cause as xbox 360, yet with such low rates.

I love unreal use to be the game I played at LAN parties. The only thing I can not do at my house is play online or watching videos on demand, I have high speed by satellite or more like slow speed.

I've got a PS3 & xbox 360 but I only play the 360. I haven't been on much lately but Fable 2 and Halo 3 are my games...I'll probably be on again when Halo Reach launches in a week or so

Crap! Not being able to play on-line really changes the whole gaming experience.

Most FPS now are all about multiplayer gaming.

Ya I know but I still love that game and when I was younger I use to love playing twisted metal 3 at the baby sitters. Still want to play that and want to play the new ones as well. Might just grab a ps2.

starcraft II is my gaming addiction atm. still do some WoW as well but that takes alot more time dedication if your looking to play casually.

PS3 is def worth and thats coming from someone who paid 600 on the first day for one too.

As for console gaming, i tend personally to do alot of rpg's / adventure stuff. God of War, FFXIII, uncharted etc.

P.S pick up a 3d tv for gt5 in 3d...

You'll need a pretty expensive PC rig to get the most from PC games, but the graphics will blow the consoles out of the water. Nothing beats a PC for strategy games & FPS. Xbox 360 & Xbox Live is my choice for a console. Favorite games are Gears of War, Fable, Dirt, Forza 3 & Halo Series of course. Was originally gonna get the PS3 because of Gran Turismo, but that game is still months away. Pretty bad development schedule for something that was suppose to come out months after the PS3 came out.

i wish i had time to play games now and days. but also im not too impressed with the games that have been coming out and its hard to find a good game thats not a big production title. i dont wanna buy halo 3 again lol, yeah feel me?
