Parking tickets. Awesome.

A couple weeks later when I had time off, I went to the station to talk to either him, or his supervisor. Naturally, he wasn't available so I spoke to his boss. His boss, very politely, told me to go f*ck myself. The best part of that conversation was how his supervisor told me about how often HE flew solo in the HOV lane. HUH??? Anyway, I paid the citation and I'm currently enjoying my 8 hrs of online traffic school. At least traffic school helped my knock the fine down to $560....which was going to be spent on a spoiler.

What a pair of douches! Painful to read that story, man. Only thing I can guess is that traffic cop was having a pretty bad day, Possibly worse than the day you were having.

awww so you are mad your cop friend didn't let you break the law and get away with it...

Breaking the law by getting into the HOV lane was a necessary risk that morning. I'm not upset that I got a ticket. I'm not above the law just because I'm Federal LE myself. I'm upset by how unprofessional the officer was. That being said, 99% of your average local traffic officers wouldn't have cited me that day, based on the circumstances.

You know me so well. Again, I'm not upset about getting a ticket. As I stated, I broke the law and I paid the consequences. It was the officer's behavior that was unacceptable. I was in my personal vehicle, responding to an unscheduled emergency. I don't have lights and sirens on the Z so it's a little difficult to go code 3. Thank you for your thought provoking insight, though.
