I'm not dense....I just get a thrill out of getting in the face of people who display a pretense of having a virtuous character, morals or principles that they do NOT really possess.

The Forum Wars TV: Let the Internet Whining Continue - shelby mustang - Jalopnik

Quote:
"So as it turns out this show doesn't exist on Speed at all, its a
mini show put together by Royal Purple to be aired on their website
at [www.theforumwars.tv]
The blurb about it airing on Speed is just about a teaser airing in
April.

Also as it turns out some of the people involved in competing aren't
even members of the forum they are representing, the Evo driver for
instance is driving his girlfriends car, He owns an STI!

Below is a post by the driver of the 350Z that basically got
destroyed by the Mustang.

yeah it was a completely unfair match up. I pretty much had to do it.
since the producers where looking for a 350Z but no one stepped up. I
actually was told I was doing this while i was at sema with some
friends haha. the Mustang was pretty much race ready. it had Hoosier
Race Tires, Carbon Tech Brake pads, Crown Lines, KW Suspension,
(Springs shocks sway bars) car was already corner balanced and
aligned, it of course had that fancy intake and Borla Exhaust. that's
all i was able to see who knows if it was tuned, test pipes headers?
idk sounded real mean. not only that but the driver of that car was
Season Trained, and had allot more practice on the road course than
we where even allowed.

on the other hand, I only had a couple other vendors help me out and
its mainly because we have good friends that work there. but the the
Z i was able to slap together in a couple days had

Megan Headers, and Testpipes
Nismo Replica exhaust (don't even know what brand lol)
Custom Intake made by yours truly
my Friends over at west covina nissan let me have an Oil Burner Motor
off a 2004, and a recall Transmission with a very fun 2nd gear.
Stock VLSD
Stock Brembos
Some really worn Toyo tires (new tires did not come in like i was
told i was getting if i would of known I would of at least bought
some Falken RT615's or Kuhmo's )
Tokico Shocks
Progress Springs and Swaybars

then my buddy over @ specialty Z managed to tune the car to make some
sort of respectable power (the car's Cylinders 4 and 6 spark plugs are
soaked in oil) I'm very surprised they where able to get 270whp out of
a bucket **** motor that was in there."
also adding this in: what rivalry between mustangs and 350/370s? BMW and Porsche? Okay. Camaro and Mustang? Okay. STi v. Evo? Okay. I can think of plenty of long-standing car rivalries.

(Speaking about the exerpt from the driver of the Z) ---> What a huge pile of . The Z lost and that is the inescapable fact of the matter. It isn't comparing apples and oranges by any stretch of the mind no matter how some of you folks want to delude yourself into thinking. The fact of the matter is that IT IS more like comparing oranges and tangerines. One has just a little less rind to it, other than that they are nearly identical and evenly matched. On any friggen given day either car can potentially win that event.

So just stop with the excuses, whining, bellyaching and denial and accept the matter that the Mustang was the better car for that particular moment in time and get over it already...

Tangerines kinda have a bolder flavor, though. A little more tart than the orange for sure.

At first I liked to think of you as the Highlander, but now you remind me of the old guy I saw today holding a large wooden cross while driving his Buick.

My guess is he believes he is virtuous and moral.

Only one Person in history was worthy to bear such a cross and its certainly not me by any means. As the Highlander....perhaps.....

Unfortunately the fact that we communicate by way of text here totally removes the context from my posts. Most of my posts are all done with the purpose of just pulling peoples chains for the sake of pushing the envelope - primarily out of my need to remain free and cavalier instead of entrapped by all the t that this world tries to shove down our throats on a daily basis.

I see myself more as a Patriot who stands in defiance of the many directions that the majority of others follow. Keep that "context" in mind when reading my posts.

If that's the case, then all is cool. We all know how tough it is to pull the humor out of text, especially if there are no emoticons! Sometimes we aren't quite sure if you're just yanking chains or if you really did share the sandbox with Pharmacist as a child!

In any case, keep on doing your thing, brotha!
