i'd say that's a fair statement. It's def not a bucket list scotch . costs between 30 and 50$ a fifth. They make an 18 year too, not sure on the cost of that.

I can't stand any tequila. With that being said, a friend of mine introduced me to some very expensive tequila that he kept in the freezer. Damn, that stuff was smooooooth and not so bad as I thought it would be.

Oh no Bro, high end tequila is great, for some an acquired taste, but once you "get it", you'll enjoy comparing various high end small batch stuff. I just finished off a bottle of Don Julio anejo, can't decide if I will buy another bottle, since it's a tried and true favorite, or experiment on something new ..... decisions

As always, there are good deals online, but with this type of stuff, I am happy to pay extra to buy locally.

BTW, since we're announcing ourselves as alcoholics I might as well throw in some fine ethnic foods.

Number 1 would be Thai (of course) since I grew up eating it.

Number 2 is Italian. Damn, they make some great seafood dishes. I remember a long weekend in Venice where I thought I was in food heaven. Rome was good because of the diversity, but Venice had better seafood.

In fact, I like most Mediterranean foods like Moroccan, Greek, Lebanese, and Spanish.

I even enjoy a prem tequila in a margarita, (some say heresy), but if you mix it with Grand Marnier instead of Triple Sec and use freshly squeezed lime juice and crushed ice then you have a killer summer drink.

I stand corrected, friend. You have fine taste in liqueurs.

If I'm ever in your area, which is a good possibility, I'll have to try it.

yep, premium tequila plus Grand Mariner and a fresh squeezed lime (try the small key limes, they are great), shaken with ice and strained into a martini glass........ I call it the "tequini". Sometimes I'll garnish with a jalapeno stuffed olive

Spoken like someone who (like me) was raised on Cuervo Gold or worse. Tequila muy fino es una revelación, seňor! Smoooth as buttah. Try a Don Julio Aňejo or Reposado, the ones I mentioned are pretty steep in case you don't likey.

Yeah, especially if it's something that nice. The wait in the mail would be mind-numbing

I vote for peruvian food, minus the guinea pig entrees, lol. There's a place i ate at in Boston and it's by far the best food I've ever eaten in my entire life.
Also, in the north east, mainly NYC , if you can find a muslim Indian restaurant, try it!
