I'll bet whatever you put down as an deposit on any item winds up as a credit towards the purchase of something. Which is cool in a way. But if you hate everything then you've just forfeited all that money. Soooo.....:ugh2:

It's really a pretty good deal. I think it's $20 / mo. and in this box I got a Jack Black moisturizer I like (sample will probably last 2 months), some after shave I like (big bottle - probably last 6 months), couple of cologne samples and towelettes I didn't like (gave to my assistant's kid) and a pair of Tommy John underwear ($30 retail). So I feel like I came out ahead.

The Jack Black stuff rocks. I have the Industrial Hand lotion and the lighter body lotion and the Turbo Wash shower stuff. I come out of the bathroom smelling like a million bucks. Love it. the turbo wash, being $60 for a big bottle, sounds expensive, but when it only takes one to one and a half pumps for an entire shower it turns out to be a great deal. Highly recommend to anyone.

But when it comes to shaving I only go with The Art of Shaving products. But only because it actually works well with my skin type.

Finer thing - just gave my wife a weekend in Manhattan as bday gift... her response, "don't you even know me! it's too cold and there's no movie premiers that weekend" good grief, I think she's spoiled... $3K down the drain, it was non-refundable

I have good news for you!!!

Ungrateful wives are returnable. It costs a bit, but is sounds like it might be worth it.

Yeah, that's pretty rough. That sounds like the kind of stuff relationships end over.

 The speakers suck on these flat screens. I'd love to get some sort of decent system. I was cruising some sites the last few days trying to get some ideas.

Yup. It would be over after that. But I'd mess with her for a few days. She'd be like, oh baby let's do it. Then I'd be like, no I'm good. Just took care of it in the bathroom. Thanks though! :roflpuke2:

Then I'd divorce the spoiled brat. :gtfo2:

I'm right there with you. Almost 20 for me. Kinda selfish of me, but I suck at relationships.
And I like cars and stuff...

I have a serious Citizen Watch addiction. I like some of the more expensive brands, but I really like the Citizens.

Just got this in the mail today.

Very nice! I seem to have a thing for collecting watches in the $500 to $1000 range. I like the more expensive ones as well, but enjoy swapping out my less expensive ones daily.

If any of you are into colognes, check out the Decant Shop:

https://www.decantshop.com/

There were a few Creeds I wanted to try but at $300+ / bottle didn't want to not like them after a few times. So I ordered some 2 ml sample sprays (about $10 ea.) and it's enough to try it for a couple of weeks. Only took 3 days to get them.

I don't own one, but from what I've read they are very well made and considered very high end :tiphat:

Went to a suit party last night.
Took the plunge on on some bespoke suits and shirts.
It was a little overwhelming picking EVERYTHING from materials, patterns, liners, stitching, cut and details!

Can't wait for the finished products to arrive!

Just finished updating the crossovers on my AAD 2001 monitors. :)

Mundorf Evo aluminum+oil caps and resistors ftw! Sounds amazing even without break-in time. /drool

I did that years ago with my Fried transmission-line subs and monitors ....... replaced everything....... caps, resistors, air core inductors, and nice silver sonic wiring...... really made a difference. Prior to that updated the subs, mids, and tweets with Scan-Speak drivers

Oh hells yeah! Nice set up! You on Audiogon? Thought I've seen this system on there somewhere.

And yeah... I love doing this kind of stuff. I'd rather tweak things than spend an arm and a leg on something new that may not have good synergy in my system.

But my next big thing will be a pair of McIntosh monoblock amps and pre. I love that sound. And I'm thinking about building a separate cabinet for the AADs to go under them and will house 2 - 8" woofers. But that is down the road a bit.

Tell ya what... it was hard trying to keep the car mods on the back burner. But when I made the decision to do this mod and I gutted one of the speakers I was committed to it. Then the audio bug bit again.
