This.

I really did want to like them. Just didn't, in the end.

Meh, coming from a PO and AT owner, I don't agree.

Every watch guy must own a dive watch at some point in their life, this is true. In a sea of Rolex, Omega offers a nice alternative. But there are many, many fantastic divers to choose from.

Didn't know there were serious watch enthusiasts here. I feel at home now.

Love me some Tags! Still want the 1887. Someday. When I'm not too busy playing with my car.

Nice Hamilton! I was looking at the same one recently. Very classy and equally sporty.

On my revised shortlist shortlist is a Tudor Blackshield, Raymond Weil Freelancer, and J-LC Meteorite Calendar. Think the RW is going to be the winner in the near term. Gonna save a few more pennies for the Meteorite and find one used in a few years.

oh. and yes. i wear gloves. mostly in the fall, winter and spring. occasionally in the summer if i'm doing some seriously aggressive driving.

Cigars and good whiskey are my down fall. As you can see watches aren't really my game.

I also enjoy good beer. Got the matching set from Brizard & Co. torch, cutter and ashtray in ebony. Now I just need a house where I have smoking room so the garage can be for the Z.

Scotch was my downfall. It tried to kill me.

Though I'd hesitate to call it a 'finer thing', this Craftsman bottle opener kicks a$$. Sears has them on sale for $4.99 (regular $14.99). It might even be worth $14.99. It opens bottles so effortlessly that I'm drinking twice as much as I was.
And it weights about a pound so if anyone at your party gets out of hand, you've got a weapon.
