umm, the refs are multi-national and are provided by the IOC. Canada is merely the host nation. The hockey refs are from the states too.

PS: I love Canada!
PPS: I love my American neighbours. I fought side by side with them in Afghanistan and am proud to have had them in my FOB overseas.

I love our 51st state!! I don't know the figure, but isn't it something like 80% of the Canadian population lives within 100 miles of the US?
