Let an old guy respectfully suggest that you take the $30/40,000 cost of the Z and apply it toward college and grad school. Then, when you have a safe place to keep a Z and the time to enjoy it and money to insure and maintain it, go for the car. At 17, you should think very carefully about this decision. I know this is not really my place to be telling you such things, but talk it over carefully with your folks first.

If there is one thing that's obvious, it's that people should buy really expensive stuff they cannot afford as young as possible. I mean, you want to be able to enjoy it right? What's the point of being 50 and having a million in the bank? No reason to save money when everyone knows the cool die young

Well here is the thing oldguy.. my daddy is going to pay for my school as it is and my mommy is going to buy me the car (with dad's money, she don't work) so it's really no skin off my back.. i'll ahve the coolest car in HS!!! i'm so getting laid at prom!
