I have now watched the first Mercury landing to this. Still get a thrill out of it. I had models of each spacecraft growing up. Mercury, Gemini and Apollo.

Received an update from HR from the complaint I submitted with my resignation letter. Apparently, my former boss got written up (i.e. a slap on the wrist) as a result. I attached a bunch of emails/screenshots to the original resignation/complaint email, and also copied the entire C-Suite, including the CEO.

My next step is to file a formal complaint with the EEOC.

Growing up all my friends wanted to be Astronauts. I wanted to be Evil Knievel. Almost the same thing.

I was quite young for Apollo 11, but rember the splashdown. To me, watching Colombia fall out of the sky and stick a perfect landing was incredible! The space shuttle had a glide path of a pair of pliers which makes it even more unbelievable.
