I've mentioned before my "dream team" being the Don/Ron Duo in '24 and then Ron/Don for '28 and '32. Trump is the one that brought him to prominence.

My problem is both these guys have giant egos. Trumps being bigger. I don’t see either one of them sharing their sandbox.

That being said, i think DeSantis has the better shot to grab the independent voters. Trump is my guy, but he’s toxic and the Dims will never allow him to win again.

Their ego's play into their charisma and character, and is exactly what we need. They're both strong-willed and stubborn, and I'm sure there would be clashes, but putting their personal sh!t aside, they would make an amazing team. Trump essentially made DeSantis, and I'm sure DeSantis will want the top spot position. If DeSantis was smart, he would take the VP spot in '24 as a learning experience, and then reverse the roles in '28/'32.

Not gonna lie, if both were on the ballot for top dog, I honestly would have a hard time choosing 1 or the other.

vtec to vvel 04-18-2023 07:04 PM

I'm already looking forward to the debates.

Before Trump, all the debates were boring and filled with memorized soundbites. Trump basically chewed everyone up and spit them out and it was quite amusing.

Ted Cruz was entertaining also.

USA Today reports…

WASHINGTON – House Republicans announced Thursday that President Joe Biden’s relatives received a combined $1.3 million from a business associate with links to China, the latest salvo in an investigation the Biden administration has dismissed as politically motivated.

Hunter Biden, the president’s son; James Biden, the president’s brother; Hallie Biden, the president’s daughter-in-law; and a fourth unnamed Biden received the payments from business associate Rob Walker, according to the House Oversight and Accountability Committee. The money was paid out after Walker received a $3 million wire transfer from a Chinese company, according to the panel.

“It is unclear what services were provided to obtain this exorbitant amount of money,” said the chairman, Rep. James Comer, R-Ky.

Comer said he released the memo in response to criticism from the top Democrat on the panel, Rep. Jamie Raskin of Maryland, who said the panel was prying into private lives of Biden family business associates by subpoenaing banking records.

A White House spokesman, Ian Sams, slammed the "bizarre" release. Previously, the White House had dismissed the inquiries into Hunter Biden as hyper partisan and politically motivated.

Here’s where the investigation stands:

Nov. 5, 2015, Walker received a wire transfer of $179,837 from an account the committee continues to investigate.

Nov. 6, 2015, Walker transferred $59,900 to his personal checking account.

Nov. 9, 2015, Walker wired $59,900 from his personal checking account to Hunter Biden.

March 1, 2017, State Energy HK Limited, a Chinese energy company, wired $3 million to Robinson Walker LLC. At the time, the account had a balance of $159,000.

March 2, 2017, Walker wired nearly $1.1 million to European Energy and Infrastructure Group in Abu Dhabi. Comer said the company is linked to James Gilliar, a business partner of Hunter Biden.

March 6 and 13, April 21 and May 17: Walker wires a combined $70,000 to an unnamed Biden.

March 20, 2017, Walker wires $25,000 to Hallie Biden.

March 27 and 31 and April 18, 2017, Walker wires a combined $500,000 to Owasco.

March 29, 2017, Walker wires First Clearing $100,000.

April 3, 20 and 24 and May 18, 2017, Walker wires JBBSR a combined $360,000

April 14, 2017, Walker wires $10,692 to RSTP.

And this is just one bank out of 30 the Biden Crime Syndicate received money too. Tick Tock…:tiphat:

"Jobs are strong, inflation is cooling — yet recession worries remain"

Historically, each time the Feds have tried to fight inflation, a recession has always followed. Given the current Fed Chair is using an old/outdated/non-relevant playbook, I'd say the chances of a recession is way more likely than not. I 100% believe that fighting inflation is a balancing act - too much or too little of something at the wrong timing can lead to catastrophic results.

Think of a sink faucet. If you need water and turn on the faucet, you only use what you need and turn off. Otherwise, you risk overflowing issues and a high water bill. During COVID, the Feds left the water running for too long, and rather than gradually turning it off, they abruptly shut it off in the form of much higher bps rate increases at increased frequencies. Now, when you are trying to wash your hands, you are only getting drips of water at a time rather than it free-flowing, which is a reflection of quantitative tightening in the economy. If only allowing drips to come through, you are never going to accomplish washing your hands, which would reflect production reduction and cause the economy to go into a recession.

“In the optimist camp is Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen, who told CNN’s Fareed Zakaria last week a damaging recession can be averted. ‘I think what people call a soft landing is possible,’ she said. ‘I do think there is a path to bring down inflation while maintaining what I think all of us would regard as a strong labor market.’

Once again, no b!tch, the “soft landing” ship as sailed away long ago.

“Economists at Goldman Sachs are forecasting only a 35% chance of recession, noting ‘rebalancing of supply and demand is on track.’”

LMAO! Are they totally oblivious to what is going on in the world? How is an upcoming recession only at a 35% chance? A recession is way more likely than not. And supply re-balancing and on track? No, we have quite a ways to go on this. Also, the war in Ukraine is a huge factor on global supply.
