I don’t blame you. Surprised you’re not on the govts terrorist watch list considering you blow up motors like it’s your job. :happydance:

This is why I will never move to the north. Too many things I just don't understand about cold weather. I buy summer tires and leave them on until I have to replace since FL is summer year round, I don't have to worry about salt rusting out my car, and wtf is "black ice"?

I also heard that during the winters up north, it's a good idea to keep the faucets running constantly at a drip to avoid freezing out the pipes?

UPDATE EDIT: Just Googled "black ice". Basically an invisible form of ice on the road, and it looks like someone just poured lots of water water onto the street from it being shiny/reflective. How are people able to drive in this sh!t? No thank you, I'll stick with my 70-degree winters in FL.

I’ve lived up north and down south, FLORIDA all day every day ftw for so many reasons including usually no freezing temps. Wtf is up with this weekend?

Remember there’s almost no such thing as a native born Floridian, so it’s shitbag northerners and immigrants who cause most of these problems.

Ps- worst roads and drivers I’ve ever lived/dealt with was northern New Jersey back when I lived/worked there in the late 90s.

Breaking a 15-year tradition of going to the beach and fishing on Christmas Day with 70 degree weather.

Apparently FL hasn't seen a winter this cold since 1989?

It's not a done deal yet. We are trying to figure out the financing aspect.

Sorry you have to miss your Xmas fishing tradition, sounds fun. :(. Yeah, it’s been decades for sure since it’s been this cold for the holidays.

You’re a unicorn lol. I’m actually second generation American as well on my mom’s side. My dad is an Aryan gringo from the Midwest :icon17. (German heritage).

Figure it out man. You’ll love that car. Running costs have come down a lot since ‘09 when we got ours. Back then the dealerships had a monopoly on fluids, service, parts, labor etc. you’ll be owning a bucket list car for a car guy, especially an import or Nissan guy.

When you get it, remember Derek at EI Racing I told you about. No exaggeration, he is the best GTR mechanic in the country. Seriously.

Central FL will gradually make its way back up to the 70s by the middle of the week, which I totally welcome.

And then back to 90s a month later  while some of the northern states get snow all the way through May

The biggest obstacle is getting the banks involved:

1. We both have super low rates on our auto loans and if we get the banks involved to swap everything over (basically 2 new loans), we'd be getting the current going rate. Not sure that I want to get a higher rate and a "new" loan on a near 10-year old car in this economic environment.
2. The 2nd option is to leave everything as-is and just physically swap but keeping the ownership info. the same, which could lead to other potential issues (insurance, tag, title once paid off, etc.). I don't think my own flesh/blood would screw me over, and it's the other stuff that is making me nervous, other than the fact that this route is technically fraud on a few levels lol.
3. The 3rd option is getting our parents involved where they buy both cars and act as a for-sale-by-owner/owner-financing scenario. The issue with this option: I broke away from my parents in every way possible in 2007 and haven't spoken to them since. Sister on the other hand seems to have a really good relationship with them and they would do this for her sake.

Still a few days left before she leaves so lots to think about.

Is this your first time seeing this? lol I see cold-shocked lizards belly-up on the sidewalks during the "winter" months when it gets down to like the low 50s. I usually brush them to the grass (my dog as a tendency to sniff each one and piss on them).

And we need to rename your dog to "bimmer" :ugh2:

Don’t do number 2. You’ve got a real job and a felony conviction might make it difficult to hold any professional certifications in your field.

I say go for #3. You get to reconnect with your folks AND get a dream car (GTR). Win win man.

Don’t know the falling out circumstances obviously but I will tell you, time goes by really fast and you don’t want to miss the chance to at least try to reconnect with your folks before they die and it’s too late.
