The BRP is beautiful but hands down the best ridge road I've ever driven is the Talimena Scenic Drive in Arkansas/Oklahoma. Tallest range in the US between the Rockies and the Appalachians and it is one hell of a drive.

Been off the air for a while.
My 86 year old father passed away on January 8th after being taken to the hospital on New Year’s Eve. As the executor of the estate I had pull together all of the arrangements and, with 8 siblings, you can only imagine it was a bit overwhelming.

But I’m back now......... so what did I miss ? :bowrofl:

They are doing their best to buy up the midwest land and especially pig farms. They depressed our market and there are no controls from stopping them.


sorry to hear about your dad Rick. I just talked to mine this morning. I do my best to get my kids over to see my parents too, as I never know when that dreaded phone call will happen.


In other news, I bought another 1960 F100 shortbed, 302V8 with 9" rear end. Solid. Needs a couple of repairs and paint. My kid is going to get it to fix up.
Looking forward to summer and cruisin in some old metal.

Well the Mazda techs didn't even bother to check the rotors I guess because they were adamant it was bent wheels. I need to find someone trustworthy to look at them.

My mom is 87 and going strong but I agree, it is always there in the back of my mind that the next call could be the one. My daughter just arrived at her house last night and will be staying with her for the next few months. They was right!

Our neighbor at the old house was the sweetest little ole black lady. For years I thought she was late 60’s, maybe early 70’s. Found out she was 83. If I was working on the car all day she would bring me plate lunch of whatever soul food she was making. True sweetheart.
