It wasn't the tool he used and that is a ridiculous statement. You don't need Gucci tools for DIY guys. Brands like Tekton and Gearwrench have the same tolerances as snap off and you don't have the extra house payment that tool truck tools come with.

Hey Russ; you got much input on a cordless string trimmer?

I know that you favor certain brands, unsure if you have first hand information on them…looking at a 40V like this one.

I have a 36v makita and love it. On high it has as much power as a gas trimmer but no fuel to mess with and it's quiet. The also do not vibrate like gas ones do. You don't get the numb shaky feeling in your hands after running one

Happy mother's day

I had a busy but good weekend. The majority of my stuff is moved and it was done in a hurry. Only took 4 hours or so to get things moved.

Huge thanks to BettyZ and Madwi for the help. It was great to hang out and relax a but instead of run run run. Hope to see you guys again soon on no fly zone weekend and at the fathers day meet.

Rainy and chilly here today. 40 now and only going up a bit. Off to Lowes for some cat 5. Need to get the PC up and running today.

It ain't the tolerances. It's the design it's self.

Rusty 05-09-2021 01:32 PM

Monsoon season here.

But everyone uses that design now. 10-15 years ago you would be 100% right. The "mid range" tool companies have made a huge leap in closing the gap. Take a closer look at what Tekton and GW are offering now. You'll be pleasantly surprised at the quality you can get for somewhat affordable prices.

And it was Mike :stirthepot: he probably started with Sues kitchen pliers the tried an impact with a socket 2 sizes too big :lmao:

Hope you don't get into a crash in one out in the sticks. Some local VFD's won't use the "Jaws of Life" or cut on the car because of a fear of electrocution. :icon14: They have to get training on how to do it. Some little VFD's don't have the money for that. :icon14:

Rusty 05-09-2021 06:53 PM

Dinner from Oliver Garden was good. :yum: I had the stuffed shells with shrimp. :yum:

Rusty 05-09-2021 06:58 PM

Been texting with Zoren today. He's doing good. He got rid of the RCF. Said that he made some money on the deal.
