Stopped in Platte City, MO to pickup the furball and visit a bit. I think the passenger side foot pan has permanent dents from my fiancee trying to stomp on the brakes everytime she saw brake lights 10 car lengths ahead.... :icon14:

Thank you to everyone that helped me install the oil cooler & hood vents. :tiphat::tiphat:

My oil temps ran about 200, but as was explained to me, that is probably because of the plastic undershroud that doesn't allow for good cooling. So.... the next thing is a Zspeed undershroud. I have approval to buy that, along with Madwi's exhaust.:tup::tup:

So the next trip up north, we are going to leave here a few days early. Mainly so we can check out the Presidential library in Grand Rapids and have time to put the exhaust on and still have some time to relax...:tup:

I had my 34 row oil cooler installed about a year ago. In that time I don't feel like the average oil temps stabilize much lower than about 200F which is where they were before install. I also don't have any trouble getting up to temps even in cooler weather. The main difference I see is the prevention of temps from rising too much above 200F. I used to see 240F+ during long trips in the heat or even brief spirited driving. Now during extend spirited driving temps tend to stabilize around the 225F mark :driving:

I did notice that when the outside temp dropped below 80, the indicated oil temp was about 190. We did get hung up in some stop n go traffic on the way back, and the oil temp never got above 215. I consider that a win. :yum:

Your oil temps are where they should be.

Thanks Spooler.

On the trip up, they'd get over 230 and take a long time to come down. Now when they climb, they come down a lot faster.

I should have done this years ago.....:ugh2:

I told my fiancee, if it wasn't for the DRL connections, I could pull the bumper myself now... I think I have a couple of milk crates I can set it on while I disconnect the DRLs. I'm thinking a Super Hella horn is in my future...

You could probably splice in some extra wire and increase the length so it can still be an easy one person job. That's pretty much what I did with my Blinder "parking assist"

Since you are selling your Z, how about you trade me your zspeed under tray for a factory one? Unless your undertray is loaded with Dynamat...

I'm shocked he didn't dynamat the inside of the faking exhaust. Don't you have some supra forums to go get gangbanged in?

I disconnected my wheel studs. That should make the tires rotate faster on the dyno.

Made it to Wamsutter Wyoming. Talk about a wide spot in the road. :icon14: It's a one horse town.

1400 miles from Madwi's place. :driving:

Seen in 9 semi's full of Tesla's. Everyone of them was black. :icon14:

Had a mini van blow it's motor right in front of me today doing about 85. Had to drive thru a cloud of smoke and bouncing parts.

Dodging gators for 2 days. :driving: Seen one blow about 6 cars ahead of me. It gave birth to a whole bunch of bouncing gators at once.

Seen a Ferrari 488 in Iowa.

Why do mini vans and Prius's do fly byes on the interstate when I'm doing 85?
