The test was 6", schedule 80 pipe, with a double V groove, 1/16" gap, in the 6G position, using 309 stainless filler, with an inert gas inside the pipe. First 2 passes had to be with Tig, the rest was with stick. 309SS with a stick is a PITA in the overhead and vert positions. It wants to fall out of the puddle.  I could do the test in 4 to 5 hours. Some guys took 12 hours and still failed.

I am beat to shět after all day on the water yesterday. Got out there around 6:30 am and finished up around 5 pm. We managed to avoid the rain (2 storm cells on either side of us most of the morning) but the wind was 20+ mph pretty much all day long and the clouds were not friendly either. That coupled with the fact that the hurricane just shuffled the deck on all the feeding areas and currents made for extremely difficult conditions. A few years ago it would have guaranteed a 0 catch day for us, but yesterday we still managed to land 3 in the boat and missed out on at least that many more. I'll post up some pics later

Hey all, I just heard from bunk. He's still on the right side of the dirt.
 He's been busy with work, doggo, taxes (booo) and trying to buy a house that will have enough space for him & his brother. Then of course, there is the associated challenges with finding the right specialists etc for his brother.

PSA: Get yourselves an RFID wallet. I had some yahoos steal 2k from my account from an ATM. They mustve seen me enter my pin somewhere and scanned my wallet.
