Opposite problem for me. Went to sleep easily, woke up at 4 am wide awake. Got up, worked out, went to work early.

Rusty did we hear anything from Debbie regarding Spoiler’s surgery?

No word yet. Wifey just texted Debbie.

A 'not ready' indication on the evap & O2 sensors means they haven't completed a 'drive time' cycle, IIRC. That usually takes 15 to 30 minutes to accomplish. Switching back to the OEM map would still give you that message, unless you drove the pants off it....:ugh2:

Starting on the 31st for work. Before I leave the house. I have to take my temp and it has to be under 100.4F. Then log on-line to fill out a questionnaire. :icon14: Before I punch in. I have to stand in front of a temp scanner above the time clock. My temp has to be under 100.4 before I punch in. If my temp is over 100.4, or I didn't pass the questionnaire. I have to call in and report as sick, and call my doctor. :icon14:

I hope everything is alright with our friend Bacon.

He would be in an induced coma for 1 week.

I hope he won’t dream of being trapped in a bacon island!

On second thought he probably like that.

Jokingly he told me he would request the doctor to do a 2 week coma.lol

Do they pay you the 2 week quarantine sick leave?

Yeah I'm sure they'll do all kinds of terrible things with that data... sure does suck not being able to go into work with a fever when it's a primary indicator of COVID!

Quite seriously, the duplication of scanning does suck. I'm not sure why once isn't enough.

You're getting paid for the time spent taking the at-home temp and questionnaire right?

They're trying to get out of reporting time pay. If you show up at work but employer sends you home they have to pay you a half-day. If you take temp @ home and it's above 100.4, they don't.

And? Put bluntly, that's a good idea. If I could enforce that here, I'd do it. I'm all for things like paying your workers well, but I'm not a fan of giving away money for nothing, and I don't know a business owner who is.

I get that. To Bettyz's point, if the business is obligated to pay for a half day if you show up, it's very practical; and from a liability perspective, the business is obligated to perform due-diligence tasks. Liability makes all of this very tricky.

I guess labor laws are different in Illinois & PA. If I get sent home here, I only get paid for the time I work, if it's over 15 minutes, unless I use PTO. I don't have any dedicated 'sick time', it's all PTO. :shakes head:

By the same token, if I don't feel well, I don't even bother going to work. I just call the boss & let him know I'm not coming in. The biggest problem with our labor system is 'positional leaders' that threaten people with losing their job if they don't show up for work when they don't feel good. I've had to work for people like that since I left the military and I've had to tell everyone of them, 'Fine, fire me. I'll get a lawyer and I'll have your job'. That tends to end that silliness.
