Hi everyone :hello:

I blasted the sh́t out of those RE-11s this evening. Just cruising a couple of miles around town I found some nice opportunities. One of them was the universe giving me lemons when I couldn't make a necessary lane change due to traffic. I made lemonade and some hard drifts around a couple of turnarounds (making sure not to hit any homeless people :shakes head:) to get back to my turn :D :driving:

Left turns thankfully :eekdance: as my fuel assembly tophat is still hanging by the wiring prolly :icon17: :ugh:

The sensor is certainly messed up. It shows 60% dots regardless of fuel load lol

:tiphat: And I still have a lot of mods to install. But simply putting on the solid motor mounts and front sway bar and endlinks is proof that seat time is needed far more than any of the remaining mods. Just... WOW. The turn in is off the charts better. Sooo easy to carry speed into turns. No one even wants to ride in it with me :( Although I think that's mostly due to the fact that the AC isn't working :rofl2:

Seb may have turned them off to keep from throwing a code.

Renter picked up the motorhome. It will be back on the 2nd. Just enough time to get it ready for our mini Z meet.

Naps are nothing if not necessary
I got one in myself earlier today after the drive to and from Tyler, TX. Thankfully that drive is so much easier than 10 years ago. And covid has traffic down pretty good still. Nice to be able to set cruise at 70+ and no longer have to worry about passing via oncoming lanes.

Sweet. I'll be sure to bring the air mattress just in case we can't all fit in the master suite.

Think Lein and Sus is in the bedroom.
Betty is on the pull out bed.
Old Guy is on the kitchen table.

The floor is open, unless you want to spoon with Betty.

:rofl2: Sounds like a plan. We'll see where the nights go ;)

JARblue 08-25-2020 09:50 PM

Tomorrow is my Friday. Spending Th-M at the coast. Would really like to drive the Z. But I don't think I'm going to :(

Leingod 08-25-2020 09:50 PM

I thought you couldn't make it?

Love my naps now that I'm getting older. :icon14: I normally go to bed around 2am, up at 8am during the week. Weekends is around 3am, and up around noon. Spent most of my life working the off shifts. Mostly midnights. Love working that shift. Hardly any management stuffed shirts around.

JARblue 08-25-2020 09:52 PM

Spoiler, we are thinking of you. Looking forward to the new thread you'll be starting soon :tiphat:

Spooler 08-25-2020 09:54 PM

What did you put on the front. I have done 55% and in the city it was not a problem. Get out into the rural areas and you can't see chit. Wait until you get into a Thunderstorm and it get's dark. You won't be to see chit then either. I just do 70% with a 5% strip at the top now.

That was then. This is now. What can happen in an instant can change lives forever. Also, I got a call from Spooler.

Think I got my work stuff sorted. And thankfully, I never cancelled any of my flights. Southwest just changed them up a bit on me (have to fly through Chiraq instead of Houston now :icon14:).

I pray my car get's tuned in time and comes off the dyno with no issues. It's always a fight to the end to get a car finished.
