Can't use fed money to build a state toll road. Fed law. You have to use state money. A few years back. There use a couple of law suits over the matter.

Once they get into the foundation work. You bet they will find more and the price will go up.

Got the bike inspected. Go start the bike to go home. The starter just clicks. Battery shot. Had to jump start the bike to get it running. The battery is almost 12 yrs old. Have a new battery on order. Getting the same thing that was in it. A Yausa battery. Wanted a Odyssey battery. But they don't make a replacement that size. :shakes head:

Is that because your toll roads were toll roads before the National System of Interstate and Defense Highways existed? Like, when covered wagons ran on them?

There was a couple of states that tried to use fed money to build toll roads and got caught. The American Motorcycle Assoc. brought the law suit against the states and won.

Oh........I live not too far away from the first national road. RT40. Locally called Old National Pike.

Ordered a new cover and cover lift for the hot tub. The old cover was shot.

In fairness those bridges are quite large... Lake Pontchartrain Causeway, Mackinac Bridge. In PA it costs $90 to get from Philly to Pittsburgh.

Wrong. It's $61.60 from end to end class 1. Pittsburgh to Philly is $45.00.

That's more than it costs to drive from Chicago to Salt Lake City to Mexican Hat, and back. Actual highway robbery.

You can take RT30 from Pittsburgh to Philly. It will take you longer as it's mostly 2 lane highway. It goes through a bunch of small towns. It is a nice drive. :driving:

I've been to Mexican Hat. :rofl2: Drove through with the motorhome. :driving:
