[QUOTE=-ZS-Carpenter;3950605]Busy day today.

New lower oil pan going on Melissas car. The one on it has a nasty looking rust spot that looks like could turn into a second drain at any time:shakes head: Old one gets to be powder coat test dummy now

Don’t know what it is about Nissan oil pans but all 3 of my maxima’s oil pans have rusted badly :shakes head: my current 06 is in poor condition.
I’m going to try and stretch out another 2yrs. ( winters ) out of it before it goes to the junk yard :rofl2: I’ve been keeping the rust under control on the RR quarter panel but the floorboard on the passenger side is in pitiful shape :icon14:

To test if it's cured use a q tip with some acetone in a spot you can't see. If it's not clean put it back in the oven

Why do I have the feeling that the word 'ACETONE' in some form or fashion will end up in a few of Zoren's comments here this weekend? :ugh2:

I'm thinking Q-tip. :icon14:

Maintenance day on the Z.

Change the rear tires. Going to put on the Mich Cups that JC gave.

Oil change. Got close to 5,000 miles on it since last change.

Got a new back-up switch for the tranny.

Going the change the cabin filter for the first time.

Have to adjust the clutch pedal switch. My cruise control works sometimes. If I use my foot and pull up on the clutch pedal. Sometimes I get the cruise to work. :icon14:

Rusty 07-25-2020 09:59 AM

It's beautifully outside. Hardly a cloud out. 75F going up to 90F. But the humidly is a killer. Foggy as chit this morning.

-ZS-Carpenter 07-25-2020 10:08 AM

Laptop is done  only took 4 hours longer than it should have :icon14:

The versa is fighting back also :ugh2: One of the bolts was rusted away :shakes head: Melissa was right next to napa luckily so a screw extractor is en route  Have to source some new bolts after I get that one out and clean up the bucket of silicone the old pan was glued on with :icon14:

-ZS-Carpenter 07-25-2020 10:18 AM

Got the Mich Cup tires mounted on the rear. The sidewalls is a lot stiffer. Just rolling them across the pavement, they was picking up stones. :rofl2:

Oil is draining.

Now the change the cabin air filter for the first time ever. Should be interesting as to what I find on the old one.

Oil changes in the Z and renovated my work desk so I can have dual monitors on swingable arms attached an eGPU setup with Display Port 1.4.

Thanks EW

What my wife had was a bit simpler. It was a Lunpectomy where the surgeon goes in and removes a small lump. No reconstruction needed, just wait for the cut to heal and remove some stitches. She is doing well today

I do appreciate everyone’s words of support on here. I think she will be good to go in no time.
