He was put on furlough and told that he needed surgery on his foot but it would have to wait until they could figure out heads or tails of the COVID crisis. He finally got it about a couple of weeks later.

Isnt there a possibility that broken bones will fuse improperly if its not treated right away?

one positive about taking it is they pay benefits through July. If mandatory furlough, its 60 days but you pay their cost of the insurance then switch to cobra.

Not sure how it is in the far north but in IL UI filing takes maybe 15 min the first time you file. 5 min every time after unless you have address/ job/dependency changes to make. And bi-weekly filing is less than a min. All done online or over the phone via an automated system. A phone call to claim weeks is a little longer than online but it's no more than 5 min.

I had the same concern for him, but I guess time will tell.

Michigan's UI systems are so backed up they had to pull phone bank staff off the phones to work the applications. Some initial payments take 5 weeks to process.

That is quite easy lol. Here the UI application doesn't address small business owners that have no employees. So you complete the application which is about 30 minutes. You get letters starting you don't qualify and forms to provide information that you have already provided. They tell you to complete the weekly claim anyway as they will fix things on the backside. It is just freaking circle jerk.

I'm not sure how overloaded it is here now but we go on UI for a week or 2 even on good years due to weather. I keep some coins stashed back and take the $450 a week UI when the temps drop to F you and the snow is blowing. It is a really simple system with quick turn around as long as your employer doesn't deny it.

It's one of the few things IL has done right

Time to insert a virus into the network at work. That only you know how to fix. I know guys that would/will do that to protect their jobs.

I really feel bad for Madwi. I know that feeling. Everytime I got laid off. Always wondered if I getting called back or not.

Pa. employment top rate is over $600 a week, and $60.00 for every dependent. It's based on how much you made in the last 18 months. You sign up by phone or internet.

That would be found in about 10 seconds. They'd know exactly where it came from and whose credentials launched it. time stamped the whole 9 yards.

Yup. Between carbon black, bit 9, ivsnti, and 4 other things, anyone would get caught asap. Heck, I'm the biggest risk in the bank due to being the exchange admin. I've got a few thousand flags under me already. Lol.

What if you had a 40 sec '80 style montage of you hacking into the servers using someone else's info?

Actually no..as long as the broken bone is aligned properly or what we call reduced in orthopedic terms. Your good. Ive seen forearm and humeral fx that healed well without surgery.

The orthopedic MD would decide if a patient would further benefit with surgery usually he/she looks at the age, other co morbid complications such as uncontrollable DM, Heart issues... etc.

I have seen pt had to wait 3 weeks before surgery...as surgeons cannot operate if the limb is severely swollen.

But yes they do heal well without surgery.

But most Weight bearing bones like the one on your legs like the femur typically they do surgery on that so you can potentially walk better.

But if a patient is bed bound to begin with, they just reduce(Realign) then put a cast or long leg soft brace.

Penile fracture is the worst kind!!!

So be careful where you insert those deadly swords of yours. Lol
