Yeah, and I aint a spring chicken anymore. The thought of having to start over again somewhere really takes the wind out of the 'ol sails.

They arent offering you guys monetary compensation for volunteering? 2 wks pay per year of employment?

What you see is what we get. The mandatory reduction in patients and procedures is killing us.

Try to go back to work, or let the banks take back the house and the vehicles that you worked so hard to get. Tough decision? Until you have been in their shoes. You really don't know on how it feels to tell your kids that they might have to move out of the house.

Like I mentioned before, theres alot of people in my apartment complex that cant pay their rent. The apartment managers told me that most of them have never been late on rent and some have been here for several years.
Im already putting together round 2 of care packages and hopefully more people get involved. :ugh2:

How do you describe the suspect? Oh....he's about 6ft tall, wearing blue jeans, plaid shirt, and had a surgical mask on. Uhhhh, that describes about 50% of America right now.

I had to start over 4 times in my life. Work my way up. Be there for a little while. Then the company shuts down. The longest I've been in one place was at the power plant at 13 years. Elliott was 12 years. Every place else, I was lucky to get 2 years in. I had to adapt with the times. Been a mechanic, machinist, welder, pipe fitter, blacksmith, gov't worker, armed security, drove armored car, CRO, BOP operators.

FPenvy 04-23-2020 08:14 AM

There were a bunch of stories from March when (white) retail security guards were escorting (only) black customers out of the store because they were wearing masks and there was a city ordinance prohibiting them. The customers were like, "uh... wtf... it's a pandemic".

lol...yeah. I went to Bevmo the other day because I had an itch for some Hefeweisen. Curbside pickup only. People were coming up to the door wearing masks to pick up their order The lady at the door was asking for ID. :icon14:

The place I work at now, I had to figure out and deconstruct a ~20 page intranet site with databases and a custom Problem Ticket system...running on a w2k3 server that was over 15 yrs old.... first step, VM that pos. Then it took me close to a year to be finally comfortable knowing where and how everything worked.. :ugh2:

Now I have to wear a mask. :icon14: So for over 3 months, I haven't worn a mask during the time where I would have the greatest chance of getting the virus. You would think that the CDC should have said back in Jan. Feb. You need to wear a mask. Why I am slamming my head into a wall trying to understand this mess.

If the idiot CDC had said from jump, "Wear a mask if you go out, stay home if you don't feel well and we suggest business decrease capacity by 30%" I don't think people would have been upset. It was the 'holy chit, the sky is falling, we'z all gonna die, we gotta lock everyone up inside' that made people mad. :shakes head:

Expanding the garage would probably be cheaper than scheduled maintenance on any of those cars. :ugh2:

Same here. Hope it works out for you. This sucks. We need to come out from under the umbrella and check for sunshine in some states. Georgia is a little over anxious but I do understand the Governors thought process.
