Dudes. I burned 3000 calories this morning! Last time I leave brownies in the oven while I take a nap. :hello:

madwi 05-03-2020 11:35 AM

I didnt think days got better than yesterday but nature is killing it right now! 70F, sunny only a few wispy clouds in the sky. Z needs an oil change and turbo needs a few shots of grease, which is weird to say.
Spent this morning working in the yard. Planted a new 4x4 post in a plastic sleeve and quickcreted around the outside of plastic sleeve. I successfully removed the Fred G. Sanford "windmill" that was near the car garage. I hate that thing with a passion and wish it would accidentally blow away in a tornado. :icon17:

Yesterday was beautiful. low 70's with plenty of sunshine. Today, 70F, overcast, and sprinkles. Rained last night and this morning. More rain moving in after 4pm. I'm starting to feel like a Brit with all of this rain. :icon14:

I was drunk as hell and crafted a magnificent bbq chicken pizza only to pass out on the couch. I woke up to burning smell and the thing was a charcoal brick in the oven :icon17: :rofl2: I wasnt laughing when I tried to clean the mess out of the bottom of the oven. :shakes head:

5 inches of rain is 5 feet of snow. :rofl2: I want to wash and wax the Jeep today. But it's sprinkles and quits, then starts again. :shakes head:

madwi 05-03-2020 12:10 PM

yep. That woulda been ~65" of snow. If I recall correctly it is about 13" of snow per inch of rain.

Been dealing with a stress fracture in my right hand for about a week now. Middle finger, behind the knuckle. About half way to the wrist. I apply pressure on that bone and about jump out of my skin. I had a piece of wood fall on it in the bathroom. :shakes head: It's slowing me down some. I have to watch on how I grip things.

I had the same bone broken in my left hand in my 20's. Ended up with a pin in that bone for a while. :shakes head: I broke it punching some guy in the head.

both... a little bit of both money and service..

business has dropped for more than 70% since mid-March thus even that couple sales here and there doesn't make a big deal.

The few things that actually make me feels pretty good is when walk-ins need us to fix their eyeglasses, cos many other optical shops are closed and they need someone to help them.

Also some customers need to refill the contact lenses.

Last month I got a call from a customer who got stuck in Florida and she can't refill her contact lenses cos they need a new prescription paper.. :icon14:

Eventually expresspost an order to her... she feels like her life is saved.

Just this kind of stuffs, keeping me open the shop... :icon17:

Long story but I am not allowed into Canada, atm. :ugh2:

Leingod 05-03-2020 01:53 PM

I need to figure out how to read my prescription and see what I can order online. Tired of spending $300 every 2 years for new frames that don't last long when I go for my checkups. And need contacts as well.

I have had these frames for 9 years and love them. every bit of rubber has broken off and Im on my 6th set of nose holder thingies. :rofl2:

Also. What was eDubz saying? I don't see a single gap anywhere. It's flush along the base. It's secured and doesn't wiggle anywhere. The tips are aligned perfectly and nothing it peeling away.
